TEAM UGANDA CONTEST: MOST EXCITING PLACE I HAVE BEEN AT IN UGANDA.

Hello Steemians. Hope you are all well and blessed.

This contest is really exciting. The most exciting place I have been to is Bunyaruguru.

It all started one lovely evening at University when it was communicated in a group I was in that we were going to take a three day trip to Bunyaruguru. Our host was a lovely priest named Father Vincent as we were going to sleep at the Parish.

We set off Friday evening, truth be told I felt like that is the longest journey I have ever heard. It was so dark as the only lights when we were almost reaching were those of the coaster we were in.

We finally reached, had dinner then we were off to sleep. We woke up to a lovely breakfast prepared for us and then we set off.

We headed for Queen Elizabeth National Park. We drove for some distance and arrived. We went for the boat cruise. It was lengthy so we were able to enjoy nicely.

We saw hippotami and some were so close to the boat and we were wondering if it was possible for them to tip over the boat. The boat had two compartments, the lower deck and the upper part so we had to balance the weight so some were to go up and others down.

I was among the group that went up and we had some lovely banter and made videos saying something that would remind us that we had gone on this trip. After the boat ride I was feeling kinda hazy and I wondered if it was sea sickness but the irony was that we were on a lake 😹 but I guess water whether in a lake or sea would have the same effect.

We visited the twin lakes in Bunyarunguru, they were breathtaking. However, the journey to those lakes was an adrenaline infused one. We reached a point where the coaster was on top of the hill with both slopes going down on the sides and the road was slippery as it had rained. Anyway we were informed that it rained almost everyday there. We managed to reach safely.

We saw the the twins lakes, we were standing at the top of the cliff and if one went to the edge then they could see the steep valley below. At a distance we would see the twin lakes, one of our classmates ran and walked in between the path that separated the lakes.

After a day filled with such activities we were all happy and ready to head off for lunch which was so amazing as it had some roast goat and chicken and all sorts of different dishes.

We then chilled and later set off for our rooms to rest as we were heading back to Uni. the next day.

The next day we set off after having mass and breakfast.

This trip was one of a kind for me because that was the first time I had visited a National Park, first time going for a boat ride. I was able to see animals that I had never seen before.

So for me, this is one of the most beautiful places I have visited in Uganda.

I love it already! Bunyangabo here I come!

Thank you.

What an experience you had on your visit to a National park. Bunyaraguru was indeed an exciting and adventurous trip. Glad you were able to see a wide range of wild animals in the park. Hehe.. that weird feeling of sickness in the waters. It must just have been because you were not used to being in such an environment " that was some allergy kind of feeling"

Thanks for taking part in the contest. I wish you all the best.

Maybe. Thank you for reading.
