**Today we will look at Sedlecky ponds. We find them about 10 kilometers south of the city of Pilsen. After a walk along their banks we will relax in the local park.**

We can easily get to the village of Sedlec by city bus from Pilsen.
The Sedlec stop can be found near the Old Pond and the original Sedlec Ironworks, the cradle of Škoda's plants.
Here we get off and go for a walk around the ponds.

The houses of the village of Sedlec are nicely reflected in the surface of the Old Pond.
At the pond we find this overflow and the building of a small hydroelectric power plant.

In the immediate vicinity of the Old Pond we find the New Pond.

Both ponds are separated by a narrow dam, which we can walk through.

Above the ponds we can also find Sedlecká skála, a massive stone formation with distant views.

When we go around the Old Pond, a view of the ruins of Radyně Castle opens up to us.

Swans are also among the frequent inhabitants of the local ponds.
See these elegant birds ...

From the ponds we can go, for example, to the old Přemyslid fortified settlement to Hůrka nad Starý Plzencem.
A storm once caught us here.
Right at the rotunda ...

Today, however, we will go to Pilsen following the green tourist sign.
Here we go around the famous Bohemia sekt plant and have iced coffee in the city center.

And then just take the bus home;)

Dnes se podíváme k Sedleckým rybníkům. Najdeme je asi 10 kilometrů jižně od města Plzeň.
Po procházce po jejich březích si odpočineme v místním parku.

Do obce Sedlec se dobře dostaneme městským autobusem z Plzně.
Zastávku Sedlec najdeme nedaleko Starého rybníka a původních Sedleckých železáren, kolébky Škodových závodů.
Zde vystoupíme a půjdeme na procházku okolo rybníků.

V hladině Starého rybníka se hezky zrcadlí domky obce Sedlec.
U rybníka najdeme tento přepad i budovu malé vodní elektrárny.

V těsné blízkosti Starého rybníka najdeme Nový rybník.

Oba rybníky dělí úzká průchozí hrázka, kterou si můžeme projít.

Mozaika aneb hrátky na mobilu...

Nad rybníky můžeme nalézt i Sedleckou skálu, mohutný kamenný útvar s dalekými výhledy.

Když Starý rybník obejdeme, otevře se nám pohled na zříceninu hradu Radyně.

Mezi časté obyvatele zdejších rybníků patří i labutě.
Prohlédněte si tyto elegantní ptáky...

Od rybníků se můžeme vydat třeba na staré přemyslovské hradiště na Hůrku nad Starým Plzencem.
Tady nás kdysi zastihla bouře.
Přímo u rotundy...

Dnes však půjdeme do Plzence po zelené turistické značce.
Zde obejdeme známý závod Bohemia sekt a v centru města si dáme ledovou kávu.

A pak už jen autobusem domů ;)
