- Detect RSS feeds
Detect RSS feeds. It is not always easy to detect the icons or the links sometimes hidden in the meanders of the pages of a site.
This is why some browsers, such as Firefox, Opera or Chrome, allow them to be detected automatically . An icon then warns you and displays the address of the feed (s) available on the page.
- Read streams
To read these RSS feeds, a script must convert the XML format into HTML : this is what aggregators or RSS readers use which also offer the possibility of subscribing the reader then imports the XML files to regular and configurable intervals and classify these flows.
3 types of flow reading tools:
- New mail clients and New advance browsers
Most recent web browsers allow you to detect, subscribe to and read RSS feeds. It's simple but usually lacks advanced sorting or organization features.
Many mail clients Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc.also manage RSS feeds, at least in their recent versions.
- RSS feed
These tools dedicated to RSS feeds are either available online or to be installed locally.
online RSS readers: Google Reader , Feedly , Bloglines , pulse , Newsgator
RSS readers installed: RSS Reader , Newsgator (plugin for Outlook) , FeedDemon

These are web pages generally organized in tabs and boxes, allowing you to structure and organize your flows by categories in the same space.
In addition to reading RSS feeds, these interfaces often offer the possibility of integrating other services, mail, notepads as well as feeds from bookmarks or social networks.
