Good friends of Steemit.

Today I come to talk to you a little bit about a theory that is not 100% proven yet but I know you might be interested in it.

Psychoanalysis is a discipline to which I have a huge curiosity, because of its complexity and something creepy, developed by the neurologist Sigmund Freud.

Some of his most important contributions were the reality principle, the pleasure principle, or the role of sexuality in personality development.

The theory of psychosexual development, devised by Freud, was very controversial at the time. This theory directly connects neurosis with sexual repression. Freud claimed that all children are born with a sexual desire that must be satisfied.

The principle on which Freud develops his theory is based on the fact that within the child's unconscious there are repressed thoughts related to their desire for sexual relations with their parents (Eros) and simultaneously, the desire for death for the opposite sex parent (Thanatos).

To develop this theory, the psychoanalyst relied on 5 phases that occur throughout the life of any individual.

In the oral phase of his first 18 months, the child begins to suck any object he finds for pure pleasure, and if this action is forbidden to him, he would be deprived of the possibility of exploring his environment, he also tends to bite, something that Freud attributed that, in a way, we all possess cannibalism.

there is definitely a lot of truth in this essay although there is much more to this theory and the evolution of the development of the sexuality of the individual in his childhood, and the stages he goes through, and how each one of them influences his development throughout his life.
