Dear readers, in this opportunity I will describe a little about some aspects of interest about the waterspouts, I have decided to talk a little about it, since, this environmental phenomenon has been observed in my locality, something that particularly I had never seen in my region, I thought I would never observe this phenomenon in my geographical area because it is a place where the flow of a river that is currently sedimented, despite this, we are relatively close to Lake Maracaibo, without further ado let's begin.

I will begin by pointing out that a waterspout is nothing more than a natural phenomenon that is produced in the water and goes from the same to the clouds, it is important to note that waterspouts and tornadoes are natural phenomena, it is necessary to know that waterspouts can cause great damage and tornadoes are known as the strongest phenomena and can cause a lot of damage in the time they last.

According to Sira, Falcón and Vega (2010), establish that waterspouts and tornadoes are violent whirlwinds of air rotating on themselves, but in this case extending from the surface to the cloud level. Although the marine waterspout presents the same formation process of a tornado itself, they have characteristics that differentiate it from a tornado, the wind speed is more insubstantial and they are usually formed in the tropics.

According to the same authors, in Venezuela this type of natural phenomena appears both in coastal areas and in the Andes, as well as in intermediate regions, and occurs preferably during the wet season of July and October, but has even been reported at other times.

On the other hand, we can say that waterspouts are phenomena that can be of great danger for swimmers, boats, motorboats, among others that are near where this type of phenomena is occurring, since it can be of great danger for them. According to some specialists, the duration of this phenomenon can range between 15 and 20 minutes; therefore, people who are near the coasts where these phenomena occur should take the necessary precautions.

As I mentioned before, a few months ago in the south of Lake Maracaibo, specifically in the Municipality of Colon, there was a sea storm which surprised many inhabitants of the locality, it is worth mentioning that it lasted between 5 and 10 minutes and fortunately had no impact and did not cause any damage. After this event many people began to show through the networks the different security measures that should be taken when this type of situation occurs.

Actually you share with us an extraordinary content because as you express I did not think that this originated in our town of Santa Barbara, however, it is a beautiful natural phenomenon that is characterized as you express very well for being violent whirlwinds of air which rotate on themselves, where it is important to highlight what you express:
