A panic attack is a sudden and unexpected event of great and great fear that provokes physical reactions in your body when there is no real danger or source to suggest it. You may feel that you are losing control, that you are going to have a heart attack or even feel that you are dying. You get to have a feeling of danger or impending doom, sudden chills, palpitations in short so diverse manifestations that would not be conclusive symptomatology of any disease.

Usually the first thing that has happened is a negative thought that evokes future doom, or you are under extreme stress, the first thing to do is to recognize that you are having a panic attack, that having these various symptoms at the same time so suddenly cannot be a pathology. One of the things that has given me very good results is the conscious and deep breathing, start breathing focusing on it, on how the air enters through the nostrils and then comes out, you do it ten times and you begin to take back control of your mind and that minimizes the panic.

Another activity that helps is to find an object where you can focus, for example I have used the second hand of a wristwatch or a specific object of the environment or context where I am, fixing your gaze there and breathing deeply and consciously, you will begin in a few seconds to feel more relaxed and less fearful. You can also imagine your happy place, the places where you are most pleased to be, are simple strategies but actually very timely to minimize.

According to studies conducted at the University of Massachusetts, a large percentage of the world's population, approximately 70% could have a panic attack at some time in their lives, which does not mean that it is recurrent or habitual, if so, you should seek medical help immediately, what the study tries to say is that we are not exempt from going through this situation at some point and that we can train and prepare ourselves to recognize and control it.

I have experienced panic attacks three times in my life, my interest in providing simple and useful tools which I have practiced effectively. Obviously they must be reinforced as activities such as exercise, meditation and more spirituality, religious or not as you prefer, more work on your mind and spirit, positivism above all.

Hello @aplausos
This is more common than people think. I remember coming to emergency with these panic attacks, and family members think it is something physical, they do not understand that it is psychological, and you have to learn to differentiate that, because as a doctor it is up to you to identify it.
It is a very unpleasant sensation for the person, but it does not require any medication at the moment, just talk to the person, it is as easy as that. Then, if it corresponds to their respective psychological consultation.

Certainly my friend it is believed that one is facing death or a heart attack or something similar, and certainly talk and reassure is an effective tool, thank you for enriching my publication with your comment, greetings.

Hello friend, actually it is a horrible feeling, at one point in my life I went through something very strong, family problems that led me to fall into anxieties and panic attacks, one does not understand until you live it. Greetings.

Hi @aplausos

Certainly the conscious and deep breathing, is a good way to emotionally control the attacks of fear that for some situation we experience in certain moments of our lives.

Best regards, be well.

It is useful for many things but I have dedicated myself to grow it and really very beneficial but it is very effective in panic, thanks for commenting, greetings

Very good post I think that panic attacks, to which we are all prone but we develop a balance in our life, are very harmful to health because all the nervous tension that accumulates and ends up exploding in this panic attack paralyzes us I have known people who even can not breathe due to a panic attack, the key is to understand that not everything is under our control and we can not take care of everything at the same time one thing at a time or what is the same one day at a time. Thank you for that beautiful post as always full of good advice.

I have lived it three times so I know it relatively well, therefore my suggestions to the readers that with simple things they can master it, greetings and thank you.
