Success is not guaranteed, You cannot do anything to be successful.

People who say that hard work / wisdom is the only way to success do not tell you the truth (or maybe even if they do not know).

Nothing in this world can guarantee your success.

Take for example: You want to get good grades in school. Now what can you do to be successful in your career? All you can do is study hard, complete your syllabus, practice questions, give sample tests etc.

But does all of this guarantee your success?

Actually — No. Even after following all of the above steps, you still have a very low chance of making a serious mistake and end up losing points.

However, is there anything wrong with ****** and you lose marks? No, that is not possible because it is based on luck.

Although, most people around the world believe that there is no such thing as luck but luck is real. Luck is as basic as throwing a coin before a cricket match but most people ignore it because they have no control over it.

Let's take another example: You are preparing to win a 100m sprint. The only thing to do is prepare for exercise, exercise, eat a healthy diet, etc. But what if you get big bumps on sprint day and you can do your best. OR What if you were good on that day but someone was better prepared than you and passed you by easily.

Also, your success cannot be guaranteed. In fact, if there are 10 participants in this race only 1 of them wins, the other 9 return with a sad face. But does this mean that some of them did not work hard in the race?

Now why do people say you work hard to be successful?

In this great world of extreme randomness, whether luck favors you or not there is no end. In some cases, luck allows it and in other cases it opposes you. This should not stop you from working hard to achieve your goals. Also, good luck to those who work for it and deserve it.

In short, hard work is not enough to ensure success but it is the only way to increase the 'Chances' of success.
