Every event whether desired or fortuitous generates an impact, this impact can be positive or negative, unfortunately for humanity the covid-19 pandemic event did not arise today to benefit our lives, on the contrary it directly affects our lives, now my intention is not to explain the elements and factors that affect the pandemic, but rather to explain the negative impact that the covid-19 pandemic is having on education worldwide and at all levels.
Imagine for a moment the negative psychological effect that a child may feel because of the lack of interaction with his peers, because he suddenly has to receive a class by video call via whatsapp because he cannot attend his school because it has suddenly been closed due to the pandemic problem.
We have only touched up to this point the psychological effect of the child not being able to attend a school physically and interact with their other classmates, it is also important to analyze the case in which children or most of them do not have the technological tools to receive their classes, even at a distance and receiving a digital education is important that our children receive a minimum of education, because if not we will be talking in the future of a great lack of education and poor education worldwide, especially in third world countries where poverty is the order of the day.
To this great problem we must add for example a very particular case which is that of my country Venezuela, where the lack of technological tools is compounded by the great problem that exists in the electricity service, where there are power outages of 8 hours a day, it is impossible to have an educational development at all levels, if apart from the pandemic other worrisome problems are added as well.
Certainly from our homes our children, teenagers and even older people can be educated at a distance by reading a book, researching on the Internet, receiving instructions from a family member, but the question is: Can all educational issues be addressed at a distance?
Logically, the answer is a resounding no, that is to say that with distance education it is impossible to establish an educational mechanism that can satisfy the doubts of all the subjects that are addressed at different educational levels, as an example, when it is intended to teach mathematics at a distance, most students, whether at a basic, intermediate or university level, all agree that mathematics would be better to receive them educationally in a face-to-face manner.
In this stage so negative for all, it only remains that each and every one of us can combat these aspects by making our own all the strategies of educational progress under the premise of holding on to an inclusive and very own education, where all the factors explained are not a brake mechanism for the development and continuity of education worldwide.
Science plays a leading role in the future outcome in terms of education. The more we can educate our children correctly, the greater the possibility that these children will be the men of the future who, with a knowledge based on science, can establish the research mechanisms to develop innovation in everything related to medicines, vaccines and applied technology to defeat this silent enemy called sars-cov-2.
hello @carlos84,
I believe that this whole situation affects in a positive way only those who have access to technology, for other people it is a real hell, it is a reality in Venezuela that many children have not been able to learn to write and even less to read because of the limitations that the lack of services represents for them and their families.

Hello @carlos84
I understand the point you bring to discussion, it is true, there are many deficits in third world countries, and it is impossible that everyone can receive an adequate education with this new reality, if before, which was face to face they did not do it, now even less.
But everything seems to be turning towards digital, and it is up to all of us to find ways to follow this trend.

It is quite difficult for Third World countries to follow the digital trends because it requires money and money we don't have. How many students in High School have smart phones or laptop to attend online classes and those that have, do they have free wifi? What about students that deal with practical classes, such as the engineers or doctors. It is quiet difficult to find a way forward.

Greetings friend @carlos84, it is clear that this pandemic has had a negative impact on education at all levels, not only the lack of interaction is important, but there are areas that can not be addressed virtually, just imagine the future chemistry professional who is not attending a laboratory to perform practices, is not acquiring the technical skills needed to develop in a chemical analysis laboratory.

Yeah, that's true. Students involved in practical classes, it will be totally impossible for them to be able to get any progress in their studies, such as the engineers, doctors, and so on.

Third world countries have found it harder in the educational sector. It is quite difficult to organize a successful online class, how students have smart devices, or the more to buy a big subscription for the class. It is quite worrisome. I know someone who was in his final year when the Pandemic started, he is still yet to resume classes till now. The future doesn't look bright for younger generation in third world countries.

Hi dear friend @carlos84
This can be a serious problem for a future generation, I think social interaction is necessary, the question is that there is more than a year of pandemic, if it ends and everything returns to normal it would be fine, but if it continues those children will grow up with very different thoughts and I hope it's positive but I don't think it's healthy not to have social contact

It can't be positive, we should be realistic. We are social creatures, and if denied that as kids, it changes your whole function. I hope we get a vaccine that works well with no side effects.

We can see your emotions through this article, nicely written.
But here is counter-narrative:
Slowly and gradually students will get hold of this new digital dynamics. More and more innovation would be seen in improving the digital education system.
Though it is also true that digital/online classes cannot replace offline classes.
But if the world is moving from offline to online, do we still require those skills which were earlier considered important?
For today's generation, CODE is more important than ROCK. They hardly go outside their houses, for them, computer coding has become much more important than studying about rock.
Thanks, Keep Sharing.

The pandemic has left us with a huge difference in the way we live our lives while some will describe it as being a good and healthy experience others will describe it as being a bad one, the side of the coin isn't balanced in every direction.
Some countries including mine do not have the required capacity to allow every child enjoy distance education, not every adult in my country has access to a smart phone talk more of kids so the only hope that kids who come from such families have is a physical classroom.
Not withstanding, the disabilities or weakness of some part of the world will not stop technology and civilization from taking its course, things will continue to experience drastic change and improvement and while some people will benefit from it, others will be completely left behind in the entire process.

Greetings friend @carlos84, I share with you some of the elements expressed. I also fully understand the difficulties from the technological point of view that third world countries have. However there are many very successful virtual educational experiences at all levels that can serve to value and incorporate them into the education system. Besides, with the economic crisis in our country, returning to face-to-face classes is an uphill struggle. In addition to this the virtual world is the one that will predominate in a very short time, we must adapt ourselves.
Thank you very much for sharing your publication.

Hello @carlos84 Definitely the pandemic for me brought only negative consequences, as you rightly say here in Venezuela even more, because it comes to add largely more problems to an already battered population, education was already quite deteriorated now more ...

The pandemic has definitely changed our living conditions and one of the most affected, especially in Latin countries, is education. Virtuality is shown as one more option that is not accessible to everyone involved, including teachers.

The impact of pandemic on education over here in Nigeria, is quite huge. Online classes has not been successful here because of the level of hardship in the country, we just hope for the end of the pandemic and normalcy back. Nice article @carlos84
