The legendary Toyota Fortuner is back with all new clothing. But wait, there is more........ It also has an upgraded engine with a freaking 500 Nm torque. Sad part is that it isnt much for an suv this size. It still takes 9 sec for 0-100 Kmph climb. Another news that we got from our followers across the globe is that the Toyota Fortuner Legender will be available in two variants- Standard and Legender. Legender being the top end variant of the Fortuner. It is expected to go on sale in India somewhere near new year, currently being sold in Thailand. The new Fortuner will come with all the missing features that were not available till now.(except sunroof, cause you know its a Toyota). Endy(Endeavour) must be shitting its pants right now. Ford has made many bad decisions in the indian market and now with the endeavour. They got from 3.2 to 2.0, just like the Race movie series. BS6 wasnt asking to shed the best thing you have got.
The snag with the Ford in India, they don`t know the indian market or pretend not to. Because fortuner is still better seller than endy despite being half a decade older. And the best part is that Fortuner is more expensive than Endeavour and it is not a rocket science to understand the root of all evil. If you observe, the fortuner comes in 4 variants which all have same features both outside and inside. The four variants of fortuner are-

Now if you notice Toyota does not differentiate on the basis of features but on transmission. If you know Indians they still prefer a Stick over an Automatic Transmission. And now you could easily guess the most selling variant of Toyota Fortuner and yes it is a stick. Yeah, you read it right Manual is the most selling transmission for toyota. Endeavour does not even offer a manual. The manual they offered previously was just the older version of the car which was a shitty deal. That could be one of many reasons that these american companies are slowly packing their backpacks from india.
