INTRODUCTION

This is going to be the shortest publication I've ever posted on Steemit, and yet - one of the most important ones lately. One, that perhaps will help me define what's my future within the Steem blockchain and help me understand what's going on with its largest stakeholder: Justin Sun

obraz.png

Some of you may have heard about recent news, and for many it may be a huge surprise. However, just a few days ago, something unique happened, Justin Sun decided to quit Tron to become a WTO ambassador for Grenada (you can read more about it here ).

Imagine my shock, while I've read those words:

Justin Sun has announced he is stepping down from his role as CEO of the Tron Foundation and is joining the government of Grenada as its new full-time ambassador to the World Trade Organisation

Can anyone tell me what's going on? What are your thoughts about this move? How will it impact Steemit and STEEM blockchain?

WHAT RAMIFICATIONS SHALL WE EXPECT?

line2.png

Those are some valid questions that are piling up inside my head now and I surely would like to get some answers. Hopefully some of you, dear readers, are able to shed more light onto this situation and explain what's going on. I also would like to know how you feel about it, are you concerned or do you consider it just to be nothing but meaningless news?

Greetings @crypto.piotr, this is a news that worries us a lot because of the importance that Justin Sun has in the Steemit project, the reason why he took that decision is unknown for now or personally I don't know it but it had to be something very relevant for him to do it.

I wish @steemitblog would publish some announcement related to this topic.

but so far it seem that they ignore it :(

Greetings @crypto.piotr ❤️💕😊

Sincerely when I saw the news on Justin Sun stepping down as the CEO of Tron, I felt really astonished. If there's absolutely any other greater word synonymous to "being surprise" I would have loved to qualify my expression with such words.

Most of us didn't really expect his action or decision but i think at the same time we can't also decide for him since that's what he has decided to do. I think he just went in for something else he maybe interested in and who knows maybe he may also have plans to create more awareness about cryptocurrency in his new work place. I'll just advise that we all watch what happens next.

Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead ❤️💕❤️

hi @hardaeborla

I also felt astonished. My jaw dropped and for a short moment I thought that it may be another fake news. Some sort of prank.

I'll just advise that we all watch what happens next.

If you would ever have any new info about this issue, then please message me via discord.

Cheers, Piotr

Justin Sun hopes to escape CCP by this step. He gets kind of diplomatic immunity and thus also has no need to seek asylum at China's enemies.

This would make the most sense in the context of laws in China trying to prohibit cryptocurrency, social score system etc... I hope he finds freedom and the courage to do good versus follow the "rules."

That was also my impression @cektop

However, why would he quit TRON foundation? He didn't really have to do it if main reason would be to avoid CCCP. I don't think that being part of it or not would change anything from the point of view of cccp.

And still, I mostly wonder: what will happen to his enormous stake of STEEM. Will he still hold on to it, or seek for another buyer who would buy it off him ....

I not very familiar with neither STEEM nor TRON. Imaginable is that it was Grenada's request to get the position. The position btw is more than questionable...Why should a entity like Grenada have a full-time ambassador to the World Trade Organisation? And why should a greenhorn like Justin Sun fit this position? (Other than residing next to WTO headquarters in Geneva.) Grenada offers citizenship by investment starting from USD 150k. So I guess Justin makes a little contribution to this tailor made position.

Hello @crypto.piotr
Something has been consistent with Steem's new management since last year, which is finally related to or represented by TRX's. They simply act without announcing anything.
They did it when they incorporated TRX wallet into steemit Wallet, for example, and I think it was a good thing.
The detail is that beyond that, there have been no updates or big things in steemit.
One thing that is very certain is that regardless of whether Justin Sun is hated or loved, he is a very well known character in the cryptocurrency world, and the fact that he assumes an important position in some institution in global trading can make TRX and STEEM Blockchain more well known.
What is really going to happen? Only time will tell, but I hope it will be good.

Greetings @crypto.piotr we must remember that behind Justin there is a working team and I can take for granted that steem and tron collaborations will not cease and will continue to be led by the same team, at least that's my way of seeing things.

We are clear that Justin plays a fundamental role for what they are doing and for the integration between the two platforms, but no one is indispensable and the work will continue to work. I will keep an eye on the news and sharing information about it.

Greetings...

I just think we need to sit and watch because when it comes to this scenario, a lot is also running through my mind. One thing I strongly believe is Justin sun can't affect the future of the blockchain.

Steem have been existing before and it will continue to

One thing I strongly believe is Justin sun can't affect the future of the blockchain.

I'm not sure if I undestand @mandate

you mean "blockchain" as a technology? or do you mean some particular blockchain . Like STEEM?

Yea I mean steem as a blockchain.

Greetings dear friend @crypto.piotr, I hope you are very well, the news you share with us is of great interest, personally I think that leaders always seek to meet new goals, possibly being an ambassador was a pending task of Justin Sun. Particularly I do not feel worried about it, because in the first place the project should have delegated responsibilities to another member of the team with capabilities, on the other hand, in steemit with the figure of decentralized platform there are people with a lot of experience and capabilities to guide us through excellent ways.

See you later brother, have a great week.

I wish to share your optimism @amestyj :)

Greetings friend @crypto.piotr.

Actually I had not read this news, hopefully this does not impact even more on the price of steem, surely within the platform there are still people who can take the reins and continue to guide us. Thanks for sharing this important news.

I am definitely here for the comments, still learning a lot of things about steemit, Tron and the blockchain in general, let's see what other intelligent readers will have to contribute.

Maybe some conditions will happen and I also saw a few hours ago some big accounts shut down their accounts.

thank you for the information, if this really happens then steem will experience difficult things, in increasing the price of sbd and steem and etc. hopefully this doesn't happen. thanks for the useful information.

thank you very much for this very important information, before i didn't know the news about justin sun wanting to get out of tron.

It is a sort of a suspense whether it will effect steem and other tron networks.I am very much concerned with the thing.

I also wonder if STEEM and TRON will still be "collaborating".

Are we still going to continue to receive some small amounts of TRX for our published content ? OR will it stop.

Time will only tell.

Been a decentralized blockchain one man cannot necessary cause the downfall of the blockchain. Reading the post via the link you send it seems Grenada has a future plan for cryptocurrency.

''It has however, signed up to participate in the ECCB pilot, which will test the use of cryptocurrencies alongside the country’s national currency.''

Am sure Justin sun will have weight both the benefits and loss before taking such step. After leaving the system, he will not want his legacy to be destroy so he is going to be sure that he his handling over to the right person and he will not do anything that will affect the blockchain. Am sure even in his new position he will still be fighting for the good of cryptocurrency. to me, ( although don't Know what is on his mind) there is nothing to worry about.

hi @jennyvic09

Been a decentralized blockchain one man cannot necessary cause the downfall of the blockchain

Technically, neither steem or hive are much decentralized (maybe it is in theory). At least that's my impression so far. And one man (Justin) has been associated with both Tron and Steem greatly. Not to mention that he is currently largest STEEM stakeholder.

And that makes me concerned.

After leaving the system, he will not want his legacy to be destroy so he is going to be sure that he his handling over to the right person

I truly hope you're right.

Cheers, Piotr

Greetings, @crypto.piotr I read a statement by Justin and I copy it verbatim: Sun confirmed that he would not be turning his back on TRON, but would only be leaving his "active leadership role". in a separate tweet, he said he would "still be committed to the TRON community and would drive further advancement of the TRON blockchain". Which inspires confidence.

It's a crucial announcement for steemit which will certainly contribute to determining the future of this platform. Well...typically, the resignation of a leader is devastating news for any crypto project, but I have a feeling that this might not apply to Tron's case.
To be more honest, I have kinda mixed feelings about the current situation...

On one hand, we don't know the "real reason" for such a move or who is going to be in charge of the Tron foundation in the future. This lack of transparency adds fuel to the fire and makes many investors go panic. Something that has had a notable impact on the Tron price over the last few days.

On the other hand, Justin Sun was arguably a "hated person" in cryptocurrency, and having him away from the Tron project might ironically be the most positive thing for the long term, especially if some high-profile figures take his place to lead both Tron&Steemit projects

What is ahead of us is anyone's guess, but let's hope we don't fall into another toxic split

hi @qsyal

Well...typically, the resignation of a leader is devastating news for any crypto project, but I have a feeling that this might not apply to Tron's case.

Justin surely wasn't much of a leader. Steem has been like a ship without a captain for quite sometime already. But now it feels like captain completly disappeared.

Like you've mentioned - lack of transparency is a huge issue here. I believe that @steemitblog at least should write some official announcement.

On the other hand, Justin Sun was arguably a "hated person" in cryptocurrency, and having him away from the Tron project might ironically be the most positive thing for the long term, especially if some high-profile figures take his place to lead both Tron&Steemit projects

That's quite true. It also crossed my mind, that maybe this "ship" will do better without its captain.

Cheers, Piotr

I was super shocked when I saw this, I wondered alot about this news and what it could mean for me and everyone on the blockchain.

To be honest I have ran a lot of scenarios on my mind and I still couldn’t place where we headed after this announcement.

What can this mean

hi @whitestallion

And I've been super shocked to see your comment here. Great to know that you're still around buddy

Thanks for the invitation @crypto.piotr, already done

The Tron ecosystem system is going to grow if they cooperate with more crypto project, that is all i have to say but this is a worrisome news

the market does not care

image.png

I go with the market. I think the success of Tron or Steemit does not depend on one person. It depends on the stakeholders.

Looks more like a publicity stunt for JS

I must say, I'm just seeing this news for the first time now and I am still wondering what the implications will be. Obviously, it came as a surprise but I guess we all just have to wait and see as things unfold. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for sharing this buddy

Hello @crypto.piotr, Any change in TRON may significantly affect Steemit in the sense that this token offers some "oxygen" to Steemit users who are holding or trading TRX.
And I think that the departure of Justin S. at this time does not show much significance but it is very possible that if the changes to come in TRON are not pleasant then we will see from very low prices to the possible disappearance of the Token.

This is my worry at this time

Very true @tocho2

I like how you used word "oxygen" in this context.

I just have to say that I am really short of words, just don't know what to say yet. I will fold my hands while awaiting to hear from himself.

greetings @crypto.piotr . well, I have no idea what the future holds for Tron but I feel Justin sun leaving could be a sign of something great for the Tron network and its user. it can not get any worse than it is at the moment

Thanks for sharing this, I would never know.

I will just read the comments, I want to know what people think too, because I can't set up my mind and what I think.

It seem to me that most people do not know yet what to think about it @lennyblogs
