cryptocurrencies surpassed money a long time ago that I would place them in a separate class by themselves. They can and will do way more than all money which preceded them. I recently published an article on the evolution of money I am more that certain that electronic currencies will create a completely new system of value and flexibility of transfer of that value. If all goes well, we may just use crypto to effectively redistribute wealth or at least give more underprivileged people greater access to well needed resources.
