In this post, I will be breaking down how I created the business logo design for Preallonte, another fashion outfit business with core focus on female fashion wears. As always, it was a whole lot of fun working on this logo design… I’m a huge lover of fashion wears and product, so it was a natural experience coming up with idea concepts for the design. The aim for this logo design was to create a logo that not only reflects what the business is about, but also ooze friendly and welcoming and fun as well… Looking at the design, you can see that I was focused on simplicity and elegance.

Like I normally do whenever I have a chance to work on any business logo design, I try to come up with important questions to ask the business owner(s), so as to get a clear understanding of what the business wants and what the business is all about. Once I am clear with the questions I want to ask and the information I need, the next phase it to proceed with a discovery session with the business owner. The discovery session is one of the most important stages in my logo design process because it is where I get to get a clear understanding of the business I am creating the business logo design for and to get all the information I need about the business and what the business is all about.

After a few hours discussing with the business owner, I already have a clear and general understanding about the business and also receive as much information I need before proceeding to the research phase. For the research phase for this logo design, all I did was to go to the internet and look at various businesses that are similar to the business I am creating the logo for, I also look at their competitors, both direct and indirect competitors, I looked what they are doing and how I can create a logo that stands out. Aside from that, I also dig deeper into the business industry, their target market and the overall style of the industry. This helped me to condition my mind on the style of logo design that would be effective and at the same time stand out from the crowd.

After I was done with researching, I compiled all the information and knowledge I had gotten and created what I call a mind map and wrote out important points and key words before proceeding to the sketching phase which is one of my favorite phases. Since I already have enough knowledge about the business and also it is in an industry that i’m very familiar with, I didn’t do so many sketches to arrive with a logo design that works. After a few sketches, I finally arrived at a design that works and is effective for the business. After I was satisfied, I moved over to the logo design/execution phase inside my vector design program. This stage was a whole lot of fun because all the hardwork began to take shape and come to life. Once I completed the logo design, I went on to produce some presentation materials for presentation.
