As the old saying goes - if you can't explain it such that a layman can understand, then you don't understand it enough. And if we take time to think about it, it's true. The most powerful ideas can be explained in very simple ways by someone who deeply understands it. Our goal is to make complex things seem simple.

As the famous saying goes - make it as simple as possible, but no simpler. Another thing to note is that you can't afford to make something simpler than it should be. Therefore, we're talking about two extremes. One is over complicating things, and the second is over simplifying things.

Another important point is Keeping It Short and Simple (KISS). Also in terms of keeping it short, one has to strike a balance, so that one doesn't keep it too short, neither does one keep it too lengthy. In my experience, when you make your points in life and business - very short and precise, the impact tends to be stronger.

Also humans are attracted to people that have a way of making things concise, that is - straight to the point. Another thing about making it simple is the fact that people tend to run away from anything complicated. As you may already know, the public loves simple things. Hence, simplifying complexities is a great way to go for a businessman.
