The job of a manager is to set people up and push them forward to succeed. Unfortunately, the need to excel and inability to do so, create a selfish and greedy person see best people as a threat to their own position so they use cheap methods to suppress and hold back proper tools, support and the necessary information which will bring them down eventually. The fastest way to destroy a company is to create a toxic environment for people to crush each other down.
Just to remember, pushing everyone else down, is not an act that raises you up. And, consider this: you never know who they will grow up to be. If they become the boss one day, you are screwed. Enemies have long memories.
