How to handle the demand for a free service from small start-up companies/businesses

While getting on your business journey some people expect you to offer your products for free and when the demand appears to be too much you get confused about what exactly you can do about it, this happens especially for graphic designers, the designers are quite good with their jobs but because there are free applications out there for making designs, a lot of people believe that design should also be done for free.

Here is the response you should have in mind whenever you are asked to run a free service for the product you are offering, there is a clear difference between running a charity programme and running a business, everyone who sets up a business does so for the purpose of making profit, it is wrong to begin to provide services for free when the aim of your business in the first place is to make profit.

The people who seek that start-ups provide free services to them will even pay outrageous amounts for the same service to bigger firms, they see start-ups as being desperate and seeking for customers at all cost, these consumers try to pitch on their desperate situation offering advertisement sometimes and just to allow people know about their service or product, some of the start-ups decide to offer free service. Anyone who wants your service and can afford the service you are rendering has no right to ask for a free service, let him or her pay for the service.

There is no crime in doing simple giveaways when you have the need to do so but you must not be pressured into giving out a free service just because you are new into the business or because you are trying to make the person your permanent customer (News Flash), after you render the free service, they may never come back to you or even tell another person about your services.

Even if the people that want your service truly need it and they do not have the cash to pay you at that point, they should be able to provide you with other things that will replace the monetary value. You can decide to ask them to give your business the type of exposure it needs (if it is within their capacity), or they can in turn provide you with some of the facilities you need for your business, they can also provide valuable referrals for your business. The services listed above could be replaced with the free service you are rendering on the basis of a signed agreement that needs to be followed.

Hello friend, certainly we must know that our effort and knowledge is worth, so we must charge just for it, many people want everything for free or they find some things expensive, but in reality it is charged for knowledge, since not all of us know how to medicate or on the contrary make designs. Every person studies to be a specialist in something and that must be valued.

Thanks for reading dear friend.

This is good topic u wrote about. I think it is important that people grow businesses slowly. When entrepreneurs wants to attract huge customers, they are forced to offer their services for free, because they somehow believe that it will bring customers. Yet it is different from keeping them. They get the product for free and leave when you implement the actual price. It's always like that. Get a good standard and let the customers come slowly.

I agree with you, thanks for reading friend.

it is always important to offer an added value to what is sold, this make your product more attractive makes people remember it.Good advice in my opinion.

Thank you dear friend.

Rarely do I find an image that does not just support a title but also expands upon it. Offering free services is as much about networking as it is about educating consumers about a brand and or introducing a new product.
