Mistakes we can make when we want to learn English!

Hello dear friends, I hope you are very well, today I want to talk about an interesting topic, I think that many of us at some point have wanted to learn another language, especially ENGLISH, since it is practically the universal language and also that can give us many opportunities and open other doors at work.

Not only that, it gives us more security, it is good for our mind, our brain and of course, it allows us to communicate with a greater number of people. I am taking a course and I want to share with you those small or big mistakes that we can make when we are starting in this new world.

Of course, we have the mistakes that we can make at the GRAMATICAL LEVEL OR AT THE LEVEL OF THEIR RULES, for example, when we pronounce some words, in our Spanish language they may be pronounced in one way but in English it is another way and obviously this will cause confusion in our mind. An example of this can be the words that begin with the consonant "S".

There are many rules that we must learn in a fixed way, it is not something that we can change our way, because that is ENGLISH.

In my opinion it is not so difficult, it just requires practice, that's why we must be constant and study hard to improve every day.

On the other hand, sometimes we want to speak as we speak in Spanish and obviously it is wrong, in English there is a guide or a formula where we must always incorporate the subject, the verb and the complement, so it is something that we have to follow and change the chip of Spanish.

When we write in Spanish we use many punctuation marks, but in English it is different, here we usually use the period and followed to start the next sentence, something that does not happen so much in English. Paragraphs are usually not as long as we can make them in Spanish.

We want to learn many words at the same time and in my opinion this is not bad, but a method that can help us a lot is to learn more sentences than just words, since we can combine these sentences in many ways and in this way we will also be learning new vocabulary.

Wanting to translate everything as it is is not a good idea, we must learn to understand what they want to say, we always try to translate in our mind word for word and sometimes some may not fit in the sentence, so it is best to understand and not translate. For this it is best to listen to videos or podcats to refine our ear and learn to listen in another language.

Thinking that we will learn overnight is a big mistake, I think it is very common in people. Wanting to speak it perfectly and not make mistakes, at the beginning we will make mistakes, it is normal, the important thing is to understand and be able to communicate with others, leave the insecurity and dare to converse even if our language is not the best, otherwise we will never know how far we have progressed. Practice is very important!

I know it's a little scary, but we must dare to take the next step and be more confident in ourselves.
