Crypto industry may be viewed as one of the fastest growing sectors in the globe today, as it boasts of a swift growth that has almost compelled many to forget all the limitations it had to overcome during its early stage. Albeit not flawless still, no industry is anyways, it has surpassed early expectations and gained global interest.
So going through my Instagram feeds today and viewing the footballing icon and 8th time Ballon d’or winner, Lionel Messi’s post of him celebrating his 1 year anniversary partnership with Bitget, I was left reminiscing how the industry grew to get to where it is today.
As a crypto fanatic who is desperate to see the industry rise to greater heights, such high-profile partnership impresses me. Firstly, for the industry to rise further, the issue of lack of trust must be resolved. Lionel Messi knows his status in his country Argentina as a demigod, his 500m worldwide followers on IG idolise him. It is expected that he and his management have done their background checks before endorsing the crypto exchange to maintain his reputation and also for his fans’ interest.
The global reach from this partnership is also beneficial for the exchange and the industry at large. It promotes the exchange as reliable and trustworthy, and attracts newbies, further driving crypto adoption. Since the launch in 2009, it has been an adventurous journey for the crypto industry, there might have been some frictions here and there but the movement is well on course.

When i see or the name MESSI, what comes to mind is discipline, humility and hard work. He deserves all that is coming his way and more. This collaboration is GOATED... Its indeed a great day for us MESSI fans and crypto enthusiast and the above exchange too.

The partnership is necessary and I think we need more celebrities to partner with these exchanges cos their followers will get to consider crypto trading thereby encouraging adoption.. Bitget and Binance are good examples of these partnerships and its inherent benefit
