Samsung, Xiaomi & Iphone: What Identity Are You Buying?

When I started using android devices back in 2016 I was exposed to two main brand which were infinix and Techno, now I didn't know if these two brand had any affiliation but then it takes techy education to understand things like software, hardware and maybe design. In 2020 I decided to completely make a switch to Samsung and my goodness was I blown away?

One of my first impression about Samsung phones were the curved edges and the super display on the positive side and then on the negative side, the overheating of the device and probably the cost of the phone which was all around important. The earliest Samsung series were amazing, talking about S6 and 7 but from the S8 to 10 we began to see a premium design and probably awesome softwares and of course the best cameras

There have been so many phone brands that I have actually come to know, from Huawei, Vivo, Sony and LG but none of these phones really had anything distinctive that generally sells them. Nevertheless in 2021 some of these phones now have flagship devices that of course puts them out there. A regular Nigerian wants to buy quality for a really cheap price and this is where Xiaomi comes.

In recent times i've come to know Xiaomi and this was through their best selling series which is of course Redmi. Redmi is that device that assures you a premuim look, stunning chipset, amazing software and hardware a design HD display with an awesome battery life for an amazing rate and this is basically how Xiaomi stole the Nigerian market.

Now take a look at Samsung; it assures you sophisticated for the right amount and you can see this in the galaxy S20, the ultra, the S21 and the Ultra as well which are high end flagship devices. Xiaomi has fairly achieved something over the years and this is actually matching what Samsung can do at an incredibly cheaper rate. A lot of people already feel that Samsung is overpriced but then this may not totally be true.

Samsung is compact and durable and the leading brand when it comes to android, if you take a look at OnePlus and the rest you'll see that they're trying to compete with Samsung in terms of quality while trying hard to be better in places where Samsung may have flaws. But then quality is quality to beat an already established brand you need to be extraordinary and that is why I think these other companies will continue playing catch ups.

The Galaxy S21 ultra is arguably the best phone of 2021 so far currently in contention with the iPhone 12 pro Max and what exactly does Xiaomi do? Come out with an even compack flagship devices in Redmi 11 ultra which features an even ultra super amoled display and brighter than the S21 ultra.

When you place these three phones side by side you'll see that by far they beat devices like the One 9 Nord. I've seen what the iphone 12 pro Max can do and to even know that Xiaomi can do better in some angle is astonishing. When it comes to the midrange category, iPhone will continually take it but then it's good to know that both iPhones and Android in the flagship category are slugging it out.

Apple is compact and Irrespective of the prices people are still spending the big bucks, its good to see people splashing the cash too on Samsung and Xiaomi. I have used Xiaomi, Samsung and iPhone and honestly while I haven't used ay flagship of the formers I still feel the iphone does a better job but then, the mentality is changing that apple scores a particular kind of superiority test on android.

The game is changing and tech is becoming advanced, expensive and really sophisticated. I might not use anything else other than Samsung, Xiaomi or Iphones and this is because in the Nigerian space these brands are known for an identity; what they stand for and what exactly you're buying whatever the choice you're decided to make.
