Forms of communication in STEEMIT

in hive-175254 •  3 years ago

Hello community, today I would like to point out an important point in communication, and it is the fact that for it to exist, there must be a message sent in a bi-directional way, it is as simple as that.

When we are face to face it is very easy to perceive it, because we can see it in the gesture of our interlocutor, in the way he looks at us when we talk, among many other things, but How do we communicate on this platform?, well, on one side there are those who write the publications, and on the other side those who read and receive- our message and leave us a comment.

I could say in a general way that this is the way we communicate here in Steemit or in any other similar social network, through the posts and comments, in such a way that when some of these do not say much, it is a kind of VACANT COMMUNICATION, don't you think?

I try to read the publications with the intention of discovering what the author wants to say, because the purpose, as I see it, is that when I share content I want to express something and that whoever reads it understands it, is left with something new, with something that in some way will be used for him, out of respect for the reader's time, that's how I see it, for that reason, when I read a post that's what I pursue.

Evidently, if this post awakens something in me after reading it, an elaborated comment, that says something, that contributes, is what the writer least expects, and in this way I can say with certainty that a real communication has been established.

So when someone only leaves comments like:

  • "Interesting."
  • "Very nice."
  • "Great job," etc,.

They simply do not say anything, because it denotes that he has not read the post, because if so, he would have something more to say, far beyond two or three words. In this sense we could say that the communication has been ineffective.

I have there the importance of really reading and commenting with sense, because a comment like that I feel it as a kind of mockery to the author, the truth I don't know what is worse, if a comment like that (type: "very good") or that a post remains entirely without a comment. Of course, it's just a personal view I wanted to share regarding this topic that I consider important and necessary to exercise.

I would like to know what you think about it, I read your opinions in the comment box.

Greetings friend @josevas217, very appropriate your publication at this time in particular, because whenever one writes an article on any platform seeks is that the message embodied therein reaches the reader and this can generate an effective communication through a productive comment. Undoubtedly there are many of us who read to read and not to understand, therein lies the problem of everything we do because we expect something in return and not for how interesting or valuable the information may be.

Whenever I read something it is with the intention of obtaining something, because it is.time that is invested in reading, being so scarce for each of us, it must be valued.
Thank You for commenting.

It is preferable to say nothing than to leave such a "good post" rubbish. "Thanks for sharing". "Interesting what you share with us".

Comments are feedback and like all feedback must be honest to have an effect.

Your reflection is very appropriate and even more so at this time when we want PH to resume its interaction among its members.

To a large extent this post is by and for that, a bit to resume and highlight the importance of comments. Thanks for the sincerity.

Communication is the most important part in any field if you do proper communication you will definitely wins the heart and get noticed by the person.

You have put a very good point in the article as nice comment will always wins the audience.

Communication is meant to be a form of interaction and this has to be done in context. It is saddening when someone will come to an author's post and just reply with a generic "nice post". It may only signify one thing; the person didn't read through the post and was quick to reply. Communication should have messages behind them.

Nicely written buddy

That's right. Sometimes these.generic.comments don't even provoke a real response. But out of politeness even if it's a "thanks for commenting I'll reply".
But it's true, it means they didn't read the post. It's as simple as that.

Hi @josevas217, I agree with you and I have seen it a lot on the platform, I do not see the point of leaving a comment just saying "very good", it is clear that the person has not read the post, and that comment can only be answered "thank you" so there is no message to convey being truncated communication.

Yes, I have seen a lot of those comments on some posts I read and then comment on, I also leave comment to whoever makes those kind of empty comments.

Greetings @josevas217
Communication in any form is important, being able to have a feedback on steemit is fundamental to make yourself known on the platform, also receiving messages from your publications means that your contributions have been good and attract readers.
Thanks for sharing

That is correct. A publication without even a comment is quite awkward. But, it happens. Luckily, at PH we tend to keep an eye out for that. Thanks for commenting.

I think that your article is a jewel for those who make life in this type of social platform, without a doubt when writing an article must have a logical sense that allows identifying what you want to transmit, The creation of content deserves our effort and dedication, if you do an excellent job the time will reward some and your best cover letter will be the organic followers we can get and with whom we can share ideas.

On the other hand, if we leave a comment to an article it is simply because it attracts our attention, we read it and leave our curiosities or contributions, otherwise it is preferable not to leave any comment.

So long, have a great weekend.

Thank you very much for commenting, and for the good rating.
It is common sense, but it seems that for some it is not so.

To me, very good, interesting is not a comment you such at least point out what interest you or what you agree or disagree in a post so that the author can know your view and if important to him know how to adjust. Sometimes I read a post and within me I say wow! The way have be viewing this Perception is not actually correct or need to be adjusted.

Hi @josevas217
I agree with you, it is important to exchange and interact with the author through comments and express our point of view.
On the other hand, when the user is not attracted to the publication, I think it is advisable not to leave a comment before making one like the ones you mention, which are evidence of the lack of interest in the article.
Have a great day!
Regards

It is also true, many times we simply read something and do not understand or simply do not like the subject, we do not have much to contribute, it is better to remain silent.

Hi @josevas217 very interesting post as well as informative. You have to remember that in the Steemit blockchain a basic requirement is interaction and this is based on communication, ie reading and commenting on the posts of the members of the community where you make life. It is always important to comment I think that makes people even more interested in making quality content. Thanks for sharing.

Apart from creating interaction, it is a way in which some users come to you in search of good content, follow you and support you, based on good communication. Thanks for commenting.

Hello @josevas217!

I mean what you said is so true... I really hate two things which usually end up discouraging me from making new content and they are literally the 2 things you've mentioned. But personally it's more frustrating when I don't see any comments on my posts, I start thinking whether I should change what I am blogging about or should I just bring higher quality or or or... many things end up in my mind.

Ps: Just added you in Insta :)

I'm a little late in replying, but I'm here. Thanks for adding me on Instagram.
Certainly z a post that has no comments, puts a.uno to sweat if what he wrote has importance or not, but I have fallen in cue already that many times there are communities like this, in which no one comments anything.

Hello @josevas217, once a post is publicised in a community like this,, comments is one of the ways of encouraging the author.

Personally, for every post I read, I have the mindset of engagement and when I don't understand the purpose of the post enough to engage, I simply move on. Not commenting at all is better than dropping comments like "interesting or well-done".

Also, another important point you make, commenting is a way to encourage writing. I like that. It's true.
Thanks for commenting.

Hello @josevas217, It is too important that many people get to read your post.

Communication on Steemit and on any social network is too important for the "proper social network function" to be fulfilled.

When someone creates a post, they do so with the intention of communicating "something" and receiving feedback, so our comments must be complete enough to issue a message according to the impact that the post we have read has left us.

If there is no feedback then there is no communication.

What a great post. See you

Yes, you have to understand that it is a "social network", and it is not just about posting and that's it, you have to interact, read other posts, and be able to relate to other people through what we write. Thanks for commenting.

Hi in every platform communication is very vital tool to keep authors and users engaged by commenting on a post an author feels satisfied he has communicated with other users.

Overall by engaging with comments we encourage each other here.

Certainly, it is something that must be present in all social networks, because if it were not so, it would be superfluous to say "social".

Sure you are right buddy.

Concuerdo con tu punto de vista @josevas217, es importante una buena comunicación para que realmente exista un crecimiento colectivo. Mientras más amistades en la cadena de bloques mejor, y no creo ser lo suficientemente amigable para no leer y comentar buen post.

Yes, because the idea of the publications is precisely that, that we can grow with what is shared, and that we all benefit from it.
Thank you for commenting.

Please, the comments as well as the publications should be in English, since this is the language used in the community.

Dear @josevas217

Another yet interesting piece. Solid read. Upvoted already :)

I also cannot stress enough, how important it is to try to engage in valuable comments. This is how we build relationships and frenships here. This is how we engage and get to know people.

Often I see short comments, which remind me of instagram. Comments, which do not bring any value and make author of those comments look like a "robot". This is absolutely not a way to go. Person who does it will not get far on Steemit. It's simple as that, isn't it?

By investing our own time to read other people publications, by engaging in comments - we not only becoming part of community. But we also often learn interesting things and gaining valuable knowledge. And I'm talking from experience - since I'm on Steemit, I've learned so much from engaging with people. By reading content which I consider interesting and getting involved in discussions.

ps.
Sometimes I wonder if you use google translate and then read your own post before publishing it? Words like "interlocutor" are most likely to difficult to most people to understand, and Im not even sure if you know the meaning of that word :P

Cheers, Piotr

I agree with you @josevas217. Interaction and engagement is more important than just saying short thank you words.

A few brief words from any user, it is necessary to communicate in reality. Thank you for commenting.
