Holybread
This post is part of my participation in the mini ‘Community Challenge’, sponsored by @steemitblog as part of the initiative "100 Days Of Steem", at its chapter "Day 9".
The main idea of this Day 9 is:
"Gaming is a big part of the online world, so it is important for Steem to stake its claim as a prime destination for gamers and game developers. So we are keen to gather input and ideas on how we can work together to make Steem an attractive blockchain both for game players and game developers."
So... let´s go!!!
According to the Stateofthedapps portal there are currently seven dapps of games running on the Steem Blockchain:
I had the honor of being invited to be part of the testing team of this game before its official launch on January 27, 2020. Thanks to that opportunity I was able to evaluate the game and contribute to its development.
I really enjoyed this experience and currently I still play it, I have received rewards while also having fun.
The new RPG game built on the Steem Blockchain that allows you to win real money.
The creators of Holybread have emphasized that the main objective of this game is to have fun and have a fun time, but let's be honest, we are in blockchain and we all want to get tokens.
A feature of the game is that it is Free!
You just need to have a steem account to login and play. If you want to have a complete experience you can invest using your steem and thus enjoy advantages that will allow you to move faster, gain experience and earn tokens.
THEMATIC AND ENVIRONMENT
The design and graphics of the game offer a medieval atmosphere where we can find castles, halls lit by torches and things like that. The illustrations are funny cartoons of role-playing characters that we must equip with items which improve their combat skills and allow us to gain more experience while climbing the ranking, which translates into greater rewards.
These characters must perform "missions" and fight in "battles" individually or in teams with a maximum of three members.
HEROES (Classes)
The characters of the Game are called "Heroes".
Initially, the player will have one (1) hero but may have an army (Team) of nine (9) characters, although he may only select and establish as active heroes a maximum of three (3), which he will obtain by completing the missions or recruiting new heroes that are bought in the market or to other players, since these can be auctioned and commercialized.
We can find three types of characters with option to both genders:
Each hero will have a set of attributes that will define their statistics and give them a personal character. By combining class, rarity, gender, skin color and statistics we will obtain characters with single characteristics that will make it unique and unrepeatable.
Rarity of the Heroes
It is represented by different colors of aura:
- Common: Nothing
- Rare: Blue
- Epic: Pink.
- Legendary: Golden
A hero with a better rarity offers a better advantage, but it is also harder to get.
Heroes Attributes
Each hero has five different attributes.
General Attributes:
- Constitution: gives more health.
- Luck: increases the chance of critical hits (100% extra damage).
Main Attributes: Increase the damage inflicted on opponents.
- Intelligence: is the main attribute used by the magician, secondary for Archer and Guerrero.
- Dexterity: is the main attribute used by the archer, secondary for Mago and Guerrero.
- Strength: is the main attribute used by the warrior, secondary for Wizard and Archer
Secondary attributes (for example: Intelligence and dexterity for the warrior) are used to increase resistance against other heroes. A Warrior with high intelligence receives minor damage from the enemy magician.
The player can also increase the levels of each character's attributes using the gold (game currency) he has won.
Heroes Level
As the Hero accumulates experience, he climbs to a maximum of level 100.
Each level increases +1 the constitution, luck and the main attribute (intelligence, skill or strength)
A higher level increases life and resistance levels and is used to calculate the critical strike probability of your opponents against you. A higher level means a lower chance of receiving a critical hit.
Items
There are four categories for items or accessories that players can apply to their Heroes:
- Weapon.
- Head armor.
- Chest armor.
- Shoes.
The items are established according to the class of each hero. These also have different rarities (auras), which define them as normal items and epic items. Epic objects tend to be a little stronger than normal objects. You can recognize them on their bright edge and they fit all classes.
Epic Item
Initially, the items begin with 100% integrity or durability which is diminished each time the character loses a battle in the arena, which decreases the effectiveness of the article, that is, the contribution made by the article to the statistics or Character attributes. For example, weapons increase the percentage of damage, while Chest Armor increases the constitution.
The items will be available in versions for all the different levels that the characters reach, this factor will also influence the improvement or benefits that these can bring to the character.
Items can be found while performing missions or can be purchased at the Item Store for gold (game currency). Players can also buy items from other players in the market.
HOLYBREAD ECONOMY
Bread
Bread is the premium ingame currency of Holybread. It can be bought for Steem. You can also earn a small amount of Bread on a regular basis by doing daily tasks. It is not tradable or sendable to other players. Bread can be used for a lot of things that don't give a real advantage but instead save time to the player. Bread can also be used for a few things like getting new items in the item store, skipping quests or changing hero's names.
Gold
Gold is the main ingame currency of Holybread. It can't be bought, traded or sent to other players. It is earned by doing quests and winning in the arena after attacking someone. Gold is used for skilling the attributes of heroes, buying items in the item store and repairing items.
Breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs is an ingame currency in Holybread that is mainly rewarded for the arena rank. It is tradable with other players on Steem-Engine. Currently the main purpose of Breadcrumbs is to reward players for their performance and activity in Holybread.

Hello @crypto.piotr and @juanmolina
@future.witness is one of @futureshock's activities. We are a team with poly skills. We have already produced two large-scale dapps on Steem (@drugwars which is a game and @fundition which is a crowdfunding platform). We have existed as witness for 1 years but we made the decision to go to the Top20 witness. Following this we are developing Dapps and tools for developers on Steem. Do not hesitate to look at our different articles on @future.witness and @futureshock
Also don't hesitate to vote for us as a witness.

Actually sounds kind of fun, but I don't have time to play any games at all, so I guess I will have to put it on a wait! But sounds fun, and great to have such possibilities on the blockchain!

The truth is i am not a gamer. I do not really have interest in games like that. I even had to quit playing prospectors on EOS because i didn't just enjoy playing games but you did real justice to this game.

hi there
upvote on the way. just wondering - is there any reason why didn't you publish same post on HIVE? you could enjoy double rewards (which could balance out current drop in price of STEEM, caused by selling pressure that comes from many large accounts powering down their SP and moving to hive).

I have had the pleasure of playing this game and I have really had a lot of fun! It is fucking fun and very entertaining, the truth is that those behind this project do a great job. And the best thing is that you earn money playing.

Hi @juanmolina
What an interesting choice of topic :)
Finally I found some time to catch up with Steemit and read some publications posted within our community.
Are you yourself still playing in holybread? Did you see that project.hope is in top20? :)
ps. I've never heard about Stateofthedapps. Perhaps you could consider writing a post about this tool? I would find such a content very useful.
Upvoted already,
Cheers, Piotr

This is a brilliant article and well written. You make the game sound interesting, although I am reluctant to try because I don't really have time for games. I am always concerned that they will consume too much of my time. It is a nice concept though.
