Advances in technology and its inability to stop environmental deterioration

In the last decade, much research has been done on the positive impact that advances in technology would have and their potential to stop environmental deterioration and contribute to the Capture and Use of Carbon, an element that would serve to reduce the greenhouse impact they have on our ecosystems.

According to the results of an investigation into the effectiveness of Carbon Capture and Utilization technology, they question the ability of some of these methods to comply with the guidelines that have been agreed to date to counteract the effects of climate change on a global scale.

In order to mention, that in attention to the information that could be extracted from the conclusions of the aforementioned investigation, it is that some of the techniques used to date do not reduce the discharge of carbon dioxide consistently and are unable to guarantee the goals stipulated to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

On the other hand, within the scientific inferences reported in the aforementioned research, it follows that the processes to take advantage of carbon dioxide from the emanations of the atmosphere and from power plants or industry to reuse it, also generate emissions, therefore that the implemented technologies do not solve the problem.

In this sense, if a technology is not going to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the most logical thing will be to redirect the financing that the states have for those projects and allocate the resources to new projects that pursue technologies that really solve the problem that the planet suffers.

Hello @lupafilotaxia, It is time to stop and objectively observe what are the technological advances in the matter of pollution that are really giving tangible results in the reduction of polluting emissions, I think that many of these surprisingly will not generate any contribution, so I agree with what you say, This great investment made in research must be reoriented.
