Christmas season and worldwide alerts due to new variant of coronavirus

Introduction

In these last weeks of the end of the year, the situation regarding the coronavirus pandemic is once again trending in the news portals, mainly due to the alarming wave of infections and deaths caused by the new "Omicron" variant on a worldwide scale.

Before this situation that worries people in the Christmas months where it was thought that everything had already entered into apparent balance, with the detection of a new variant of Covid-19 among experts, the following question arises: how concerned should we be and how does this change the strategy against the pandemic in these months of family sharing at Christmas time?.

The major concern for the World Health Organization is that this new variant, labeled "Omicron", is much more worrisome than previous variants because it is so different from the original version first identified in Wuhan that it may be more contagious, lethal or circumvent the effect of vaccines and treatments.

Even though there is a lack of data to decree restrictions in some countries, cases have already been reported in several countries, which led to the cancellation of flights or the imposition of new control measures on passengers from Canada and the USA.

All that remains is to evaluate the progress of this new variant and to be cautious in implementing the biosecurity measures we are already familiar with.

Hello friend, the truth is that variants will continue to emerge, the important thing is to continue to take care and get vaccinated. Because as long as there is Covid there will be new mutations. Greetings.

Hi @franyeligonzalez

It makes sense what you mention, somehow people believe that all the danger has passed, and choose to enter again to their previous lifestyles, and neglect biosecurity standards, a situation that ends up worsening the serious health crisis that has been causing the coronavirus worldwide.

Best regards, be well.

We are not out of one, when the other one is coming in, but the worst thing is the aggressive publicity about it and nobody informs about how it attacks, what the consequences are, what the reactions are and how many people are ill, I do not doubt it, but the way they are giving it publicity, I think it will be another delta. In a manner of speaking.

Hi friend @lanzjoseg

Certainly there is an advertising boom that generates more confusion than anything else, but beyond, the advertising issue, the key is not to neglect biosafety standards.

Best regards, be well.

Hello dear friend @lupafilotaxia, the pandemic never seems to end, now with this new variant everyone is on alert considering how lethal it can be, as you mention we must continue with our security measures now more than ever and waiting for new developments in this regard.

See you later brother, have an excellent start of the week.

Hello dear friend @amestyj

Yes, certainly the situation never seems to end, and that is very sad because everything pointed to an apparent normality, and out of nowhere comes a new variant that threatens our tranquility in these Christmas months.

Best regards, be well.

Let's hope that this new wave does not tarnish this Christmas, a little bit of joy would not go amiss, especially considering the sadness left by this pandemic.

Greetings friend @lupafilotaxia and thanks for sharing.

Hello friend @carlos84

That's right, there are many sad things that this terrible pandemic has left us to date, however, it has also given us food for thought that in the end also count.

Best regards, be well.

Hi again @lupafilotaxia

Upcoming Christmas will surely be very strange and unpredictable. Especially since this new strain of Covid virus seem to be an excuse for most goverments to introduce strict lockdowns and enforce people to stay home. It's sad and miserable solution, which proved not to work till now. And it seem to be repeated again.

The major concern for the World Health Organization is that this new variant, labeled "Omicron", is much more worrisome than previous variants because it is so different from the original version

Truth be told, I found it so hard to believe in anything WHO is saying. They have lied so many times before, on so many occasions. My trust towards this organization is close to zero. It's hard not to have an impression, that they care more about politics than about human health. And politicians are addicted to insane money printing (which is only possible as long as people are locked in their houses, not being able to protest against this robbery).
(after all - inflation is a hidden tax. Robbery in a daylight).

It also seem to me, that there is so much focus on this new strain of Covid - simply because DELTA varriant doesn't sound scary any more. People need to be feed with fear in order to comply with all those insane lockdowns.

Cheers, Piotr

Hello dear friend @crypto.piotr

I have also weighed incessantly on what you mention, certainly what has happened is a product of manipulations of the great powers to control humanity, and no doubt, inventing a pandemic has worked for them, since somehow they have kept us in our homes full of panic.

Best regards, be well.
