Which teacher do you remember the most? // Psychology and Education

Education has been vital to educate our humanity and teachers have been indispensable for our children to be formed in other aspects that parents can't cover.

Pre-school teachers are so special to children that they become very fond of them, and are a key part of shaping them in terms of developing cognitive skills and habits. Primary school teachers also have an elementary role and begin to work from more mature elements than preschool teachers. They are the ones who lead the students to the development of more advanced skills that they will need for the secondary stage.

In secondary school, usually pre-adolescents and adolescents, teachers are determinant and even function as therapists. How many of them do we remember? In particular, I remember my science teacher, who was the key to my studying that career and my love of understanding it.

When we empathise with the method used by a teacher and the way they treat us as a person, we love to learn from that class. Generally, in these types of cases, students are punctual and work on their homework with great devotion, they are attentive, respectful and interact during the classes.

Teachers, in their time and contact with our children, can also observe behaviours that we do not know how to manage and help them to work on them, and that is why they can be great allies. In addition, they can help our children to educate their emotions in the educational context and for life.

Psychology today invites us to work on emotional education in our schools and it is key that the teacher can help us. This includes respect, fairness, responsibility, good treatment, valuing and justice, which are essential to maintain optimal relationships.

The pandemic has physically distanced us from our teachers, but some try to maintain contact. That part where our children engage with the teacher every day and contribute to our education is now being taught in the home.

Hello @Lynnmargullys!
I really enjoyed this topic, it made me remember many people, I fondly remember almost all my teachers, some of them now attend my son. Teachers are a fundamental key in education and can have a positive or negative impact, especially when we are children. This situation has affected the interaction between teacher-student, however, I believe that they have done their best to get to know each other and they are aware through videos, messages that encourage them and that is important. Greetings!

One of my best teachers just died of COVID and when I heard the news, I closed my eyes and incredibly remembered her essence in me. Teachers are those who illuminate the obscurity of our ignorance, and are a fundamental guide... Thank you for this beautiful contribution!

Teachers has a great impact in our lives when growing up and up it now. Some teachers impact are just difficult to forget I will also remember my home economics teacher I love the woman to the moon.

Being a teacher is definitely one of the most beautiful professions anyone can have, and even more so if you educate for life and leave traces in the soul. Thank you for your visit and for telling us about your experience.

Hello @lynnmargullys
Certainly teachers play an important role and the contact of students with them is essential.
The pandemic has presented us with another very delicate challenge, which is to maintain that active contact, something that depends on each one.
Best regards.

That's right, although virtuality is a great help, it doesn't take away the power of face-to-face teaching, and for sure many teachers are committed to making themselves felt! Thank you for your contribution
