Introduction
Cameras have come a long way since their invention in 1825. Cameras started in smartphones in the second half of the first decade of the 21st Century. Since then cameras in smartphones have upgraded from 1 to 2 mp to 108 mp and still counting. These cameras are developed by professional-level hardware and high-end software system. In recent years, however, this development has been exponential. In a mere span of 5 years we have upgraded from 12 mp to 108 megapixels and this development is still ongoing.
Development
Cameras have upgraded from one to the normal 4 that is right now, however, the exception that caught my eye was this one camera environment developed by Xiaomi. This system didn't have multiple camera's instead had only one but with one amazing feature. This camera had the body of a digital camera it could move in and out to focus and also for zooming purposes.

Even this year with the Vivo x60 Pro we have also seen this arrangement however for a different purpose - Stabilisation.

It could hold on to the same spot for as long as 10 seconds and this was just the second model following the same camera system, the first one being the x50 Pro.

Future
These recent developments have led me to believe that soon (around 10 years) there won't be any need for professional cameras like DSLRs for the most part as these camera systems are improving by the day. The software, as well as the hardware, is improving exponentially and many camera enthusiasts also are taking a liking to these. These camera systems are slowly being loaded with high-quality A.I. This improves the quality of the photo by a lot and Soon these developments will change the smartphone camera environment. Even smartphone companies are hugely investing in this area be it One Plus with Hasselblad or Vivo with Zeiss, These companies know the value of these investments and thus are moving forward with it and we will soon see a future where Professional Cameras are hardly used in normal Photography.
