In this modern era, there are so many causes of stress, such road blocks/go-slow, relationship drama, work issues, keeping up with social media, and many more. Lots of studies have shown just how bad it is to be under constant stress, as stress has been link with depression, heart disease, stroke and many more. Hence, the need to know how to cope with stress is very vital. This article will contain 4 ways to cope with stress as an officer worker. Music

Music can help you cope with stress very effectively. Whenever you feeling all stressed up in the office, take a break, pick your music player and listen to some good calm music. I would highly recommend listening to nature or ocean sounds. Nature or Ocean sounds goes a long way in reducing your blood pressure and cortisol level, which are the main causes of stress. Take a 10 minutes break to listen to calming sound and then resume your work. You would work better and more effective after the music break, because working under stress will make a worker make mistake and be ineffective in carrying out his/her duty in the office. Hence, always take a break and listen to calming music, whenever you are feeling stressed up at work place.

Have A Good Talk

Whenever you are feeling stressed up in the office, take a break and try to reach out to a friend or co-worker you trust. Whenever you talk to someone you trust, and you pour out your feelings, you get some kind of relief, and when you get that relief, your stress level, reduces rapidly. And that's why people pay to talk to Psychologists, to get stress relief and find solutions to their issues. You know that when you start talking with someone about an issue, you might figure out the solutions of the issue yourself or the person might figure it out for you. For instance, Billions(a movie series) Wendy Rhoades is the backbone of Axe Capitals, what does she do? She is the Psychologists of the firm. She notices when traders are feeling stressed up, she calls them in and pep talk them and after the pep talk, they go out all stressed relieved and filled with confidence and make some good money for the firm. Hence, it's very necessary for you to talk to someone whenever you are feeling stressed up.

Drink Tea

Haven't you ever wondered why a lot of top managers ask for tea a lot within their working hours. It is because they want to stay alert and also get some stress relief from drinking the tea. It is highly recommended that you drink Green Tea and not coffee or some energy drink, this is because Green Tea contains antioxidants, theanine and an amino acid which has some kind of calming effect to our nervous system. Organisations and firms shouldn't be offering coffee at the workplace, instead they should only offer Green tea because of its some many health benefits and performance benefits it provides to workers. Hence, ask for a cup of green tea whenever you are feeling all stressed up.

Sleep Better

One of the best, if not the best remedy for stress is sleep. A lot of workers get stressed up because they don't sleep recommended number of hours, which is 7 - 8 hours of sleep. A lot of workers get home, 7pm and stay up till 2am because of movies or games or something best known to them and then, wake up by 5:30am to prepare for work. They just had 3 hours 30 mins of sleep, which is very inadequate for proper functioning of one's body and brain. Let's continue, with our worker. When the worker resumes work by 8am, after 2 hours into the work, he/she will start feeling sleepy, because he/she can't sleep, he/she will feeling stressed up. But if he/she had a 7 - 8 hours of sleep, he/she will be alert and sharp to work and would not be feeling stressed up. Hence, sleep 7 - 8 hours daily to live a stress free work life.

Dear @menoski

Finally I've found some time to catch up and read few previously bookmarked posts.

Interesting choice of topic, I must admit.

We surely have many reasons to be stressed "in this modern era", however when I compare our lifestyle with that of our parents and their parents and then with people living hundred years ago - I come to realization that we have almost nothing to worry and to be stressed about.

Anyway, many of us do stress more than it's necessary and this publication definetly could help some of those people.

You've mentioned Music, having a calm talk to someone we trust, having a tea and sleeping better.

However there are other things worth recommending: working out (sweating like a dog) is one of them. And learning little bit about breathing methods (I personally recommend learning about wim Hof and his breathing method) can do miracles as well. Did you ever hear about this dutch guy?

Solid read. Have a great day buddy,
Piotr

I come to realization that we have almost nothing to worry and to be stressed about.

The reason for much worrying in this modern era is social media. You see people living the dream lifestyle or music videos that will open your eyes to things that your shouldn't be thinking of, and so on. During our parents time, they now what's going around them and they don't see things that will tempt them and worry them.

working out (sweating like a dog) is one of them. And learning little bit about breathing methods (I personally recommend learning about wim Hof and his breathing method) can do miracles as well.

These are amazing additions. I haven't heard of Hof, but will surely do some digging into him.

Amazing comment. Thanks for coming around @crypto.piotr.

I really like to see how responsive you are @menoski :)

Hello @menoski
I just read your publication, it's a big deal.
Stress seems to be a way of life for many people, as if that's a good thing.
I think the logical thing to do is to organize ourselves in such a way that we have enough time to rest, to entertain ourselves and to have fun. The thing you mentioned about coffee, another great detail, I'm a big coffee drinker, although I've been cutting back on my dosage lately. Green tea is better, of course.

Thank you very much for posting in the PH community.

Hi @menoski

It is not easy to deal with stress, however in this current world we must deal with it everywhere, each person has their side of how to deal with stress.

In particular, I usually work under pressure and I don't suffer from stress, but when I don't have something to do, that's when you give me stress.

Music helps, and since I've been reading and writing on this platform, I feel like I've improved my strees.

Excellent post, and congratulations on posting to our community. welcome.

Greetings from Venezuela
