INTRODUCTION

line2.png

Just 2 months ago we had to say "good-bye" to 2 users, who commites such a "crime" and I wrote about it in post called DIFFICULT DECISION.

Unfortunateely, it has been brought to my attention, that some new users within our community are commiting so called "post spinning" and plagiarism. I really dislike ending up in this position and feeling that I'm forced to do something about it. It's not a pleasent place to be.

INTERNAL ANTI-PLAGIARISM DEPARTMENT

line2.png

Together with @gbanga and @juanmolina we've decided to create our PH internal anti-plagiarism department. Gbenga (many of you know this user already) will be in charge of this particular unit and I will be there with Juan mostly to assist him and to make difficult decisions.

I would like ALL of you, dear readers, to go throguht his latest post "Big Brother is Watching You - My Guideline to Not being Tagged a Content Thief" and read it carefully.

IMPORTANT REQUEST

line2.png

This is very important for every member of our community to be educated and fully aware, that we cannot support content which is considered "stolen". Setting up link to source (original post) doesn't really change much in my opinion. Especially if content is simply copied + pasted.

In that case rejecting payout should be a MUST. And I don't think I should be the one "teaching" any of us how to behave, and that claiming financial benefits for work done by someone else is absolutely wrong. And it will not be tolerated.

So I would need to ask EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU to write a comment below:
"I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so".

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOU GET CAUGHT

line2.png

In case if any of you would commit such an action and would get caught, PH will not be punishing and pursuing such a user. You won't receive downvote. However our support with come most likely to COMPLETE STOP.

That's just simple as that. I will request such a user not to post within Project Hope. Your plagiarized posts will be MUTED within our community and we will (hopefully) say peaceful good-bye to each other.

Obviously, we may consider giving "another chance" to such a user, based on his/hers performance and level of engagement within community. I believe that there may be some users, who are worth fighting for and educating.

BOTTOM LINE

line2.png

However bottom line is simple: WE WILL NOT SUPPORT PLAGIARISED CONTENT and if anyone want to use other people's work - then please DENY YOUR PAYOUT while posting your publication. This is simply not way to go.

So please, read post by @gbanga and mostly read part "IMPORTANT REQUEST" above.

Hey @crypto.piotr first on all I'm really sorry that i didn't realize that i was doing wrong but i realized that now and i ensure that this won't happen in future from my side.you are right i could have just select "decline payout" i just didn't remember it. If i my purpose were to steal someone work i would not be giving official sources link or credit in the post but still it is wrong just to benefit by copy paste from someone's hard work. Thank you for making me realize my mistake. And i respect each and every decision made by the administration of the PH community, and I'll still try my best to not to disappoint you once again. Thank you so much for giving me another chance. I'll make it worth it and won't disappoint you @crypto.piotr

I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so.

Dear @rishabh99946

As we've agreed, I will continue supporting you with just 1 upvote weekly on your content published within PH community for period of month of June. After that time we will meet again and talk about our future collaboration (or lack of it).

I personally learned to like you and I think you may bring value into our community. Hopefully this incident will be soon ... just thing of the past.

Yours,
@crypto.piotr

Dear @crypto.piotr,
You really amze me with your perspective of life and leadership. Thanks for this great understanding.

and I think you may bring value into our community.

I will continue supporting you with just 1 upvote weekly on your content published within PH community for period of month of June.

This is really a leadership strength many do not posses. Seeing into the future. Hopefully, @rishabh99946 would have learnt his lessons and would certainly give more value to the community.

Thank you @uyobong for this supportive and encouraging comment

@crypto.piotr i really appreciate this. And I'm sure it won't happen again and won't disappoint you again for sure.

Do not be afraid to fall, for the one who never climbs the one who never falls.
The one who is afraid to fail, for the one who never fails is the one who never steps.
Don't be afraid of mistakes, because with the first mistake we can increase our knowledge to find the right path in the second step."

Well said @block.token

There are people who aim to get rewards by following the easy path.
They ignore that "There is no easy way to success."

Obviously, if any of us make a post about the technicalities of blockchain, up-to-date price figures, or historical behavior of any cryptocurrency, chances are we have to "lean" on previous posts, press articles, and the like.
But we should never copy another author's work and publish it as our own.

Steemit articles must be "Original". If it is very difficult for you to develop an article about a specific topic, then you should be honest with yourself and look for another topic that you can approach with more comfort and mastery.

I wish you a lot of success in your next publications.

The difficulty of writing articles without leaning on copying material from other people is one of the reasons why I personally don't post so often... When I post, it's usually about something involving myself or my work.

Sometimes elsewhere on Steemit, I have posted some translations of other people's artwork, but even then I have mentioned it is translation and not something I have done from scratch.

This shouldn't be a reason for you not to post frequently.
Simply select a topic, document it, interpret it and express your thoughts about the topic in your own words.
In my opinion, this type of post has much more value than any other.

I'm the type of person who doesn't really select topics or ideas... I've been journalist since 2001 and I've always known when to write about something. It's same with writing software... I write because I want to change something., make it better or make a better version of it.

With all my heart I congratulate you.
I also express my admiration for your intellectual abilities.
It is a true honor that you are part of PH.
Thank you.

CASE OF @rishabh99946

line2.png

I've started this post mentioning that crime of plagiarism has been discovered again within our community. I spoke with 4 different community members, which opinion I value. And I've asked about their opinion on this particular issue.

Example is just so obvious: this user post and original post. Even the title didn't change.

Claiming rewards for content fully copied+posted is just behond my understanding level.

I've also checked engagement of this particular user within our PH community. And within past week I counted only few comments placed on posts created by others from our group. It isn't encouraging.

However we've decided to try different solution and instead of completely closing saying 'good-bye' to this user, we will only reduce amount of supporting solid upvotes to 1x per week for period of month June. After this month we will review activity of @rishabh99946 and decide what do to.

Yours,
Piotr

Thanks for bringing this up!

And I would like to thank you for dropping by @ciska :)

I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so

PH take a step ahead by censoring the plagiarism. Your team have made decision to ban users who post plagiarism contents. I think it is the time to apply the rules so the members will all respects the consistency.

Permit me to say this approach to handling the plagiarism situation is really cool, no one is above mistake but we must be willing to learn from our mistakes and make amends.

Necessary for the project to reach its next level of maturity.

I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I never have or will.

Hi @crypto.Piotr
@project.hope founder.

I totally agree with this decision, and I am sure that the work carried out by our friends @gbanga and @juanmolina, will be worthy and admirable, and from today I am putting myself to order to help in that work, I know they will need help and I can contribute some of my knowledge in that task.

"I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so"

I totally agree with the initiative and the action taken for these cases, there are also many new users who do not know about this issue, so educating them about it is the best thing.

Have my support, great team work.

It's crucial that @gbenga and @juanmolina would be at the helm of affairs to maintain quality contenting in the PH community. Solid selections here.

I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so".

It is a very understandable, clear and emphatic decision that plagiarism is not tolerable within the project hope community, I especially value, recognize and congratulate the decision of @cripto.piotr to give a second chance to whoever has initially contributed value to the community, this proves to be different from other leaders and other communities.

Actually what any user must understand is that whatever plagiarism is intolerable within steem, this must be an honest work, where if we are paid for this then the duty is to do an impeccable job.

Hi @ crypto.Piotr

I agree and totally agree with it.

"I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so".

Excellent work

I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so

Much needed action for the entire ecosystem.

Sometimes you have to take difficult decisions.

That was really needed.
I hope this will stop plagiarism in our community.

"I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so".

Completely agree with this, and I applaud this initiative that seems to me to be very necessary. You have my support.

"I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so".

This is a great move.

@project.hope

"I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so".

i have suggestion better give them a warning and let them know they are been watched and if they produced same type of content they will be removed from the community.

Your decision is simply another way forward for the community and even the good of individual reputation.
I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so.

It's really great @project.hope has now set up active team members who are really gonna help us fish out the plagiarist on the platform and I really doubt if there is any old member of project hope or early adopter Steemit engaging in such act unless if the person is extremely new to the community and Steemit as a whole.

claiming financial benefits for work done by someone else is absolutely wrong.

I actually hope people who engage in such act can actually think this way but it seems these set of users are much more concerned about their own gains or profit without doing much work. I am just wondering how they'll also feel if the same was also done to them!

Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead 💕❤️💕💖❤️💕❤️❤️💖

"I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so".

I have no problem with this.

I think it's an excellent initiative.
Although for most of the users that make life on both platforms this of not plagiarizing is very clear, it seems that for some it is not so clear, others do not know it, but even if they do not know it, when they fall into that error, that failure, they should generally receive an announcement of their failure.

Of course, I consider that other aspects of the user should be evaluated. And see if it is a recurrent behavior, if perhaps he has already had other calls for attention and has ignored them.

I think it is a logical behaviour to make the call for attention, to give an opportunity. And if he does the same thing again, let him be limited. I even think it's civilized behavior, as opposed to offending the user...

This post is a reminder. With no posts like this maybe many people have forgotten about this.

Please be careful with your work @block.token

I was told that you commited plagiarism:

Hi @project.hope @crypto.piotr

I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so

This is the right thing to do and fully support your initiative to curb plagiarism.

"I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so".

This shows seriousness and commitment in this project, count on me to make everyone in this community grow as well as you, excellent

Hello friends, this is a very interesting topic, this publication demonstrates the seriousness and responsibility of Project HOPE.

A challenge for everyone and a growth opportunity for those who have more difficulty writing.

I particularly take snippets of some news when I research a topic and try to present it as a quote from a job that belongs to someone else.

Good warning, I think this makes things clear and defines the parameters of our community.

Thanks leader @crypto.piotr.

I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so.

I totally agree with the decision, it is a very sensitive issue and as such it has to be given its due importance!

Great initiative, and unfortunately, a needed one. I understand it, and I will not copy content from elsewhere, just publish pure, and original content created by me!! :) Keep it up!

"I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so"

I love this update, at least to sound as warning again of how strict project hope team is.

This will sound as a great warning to those who have such motive in mind, project hope is not for such act.

Just as requested:

I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refer from doing so

Yours, Piotr

Intellectual property is priceless, it is even of more risk to the plagiarist than to the reputation of the community. This is just another great move by a great team. Being a content creator, I'll be sad to see my brainchild being used without my consent or with putting some reference to me.

I really think that plagiarism is not what supposed to be on the blogging platform which is rewarding you. Here is the tool I am personally using when checking some text which I am not sure is 100% unique. But there are many of them on the web https://plagiarismdetector.net/

This is a welcomed development

We hope that with this move, there will be reduced number of plagiarism in the community. I hope we can all grow project.hope and make it a better community.

I just read this and i must say that this is a good job. We will keep to the original and quality.

This is war against plagiarism, wonderful. I like this, we cab continue.

"I fully understand, that plagiarism and post spinning isn't tolerated within Project Hope community and I will refrain from doing so".

Why plagiarizing when you can easily write you own opinion, well some are really lazy and only want the reward without thinking of what they are posting. Plagiarising won't help the community in any way. I support the decision

Plagiarism and copy/paste article both are the crime and this is not acceptable at all. i support this.

This is a timely warning to all P.H members. Nice one buddies.

This is a good way to keep the community free from bad reputation.

I agree with all. We can't let people posts plagiarized content

It is good initiative to stop plagiarism in Project hope community and i really appreciate it but if a user who are in Hive and Steemit and if he/she published his own post in both platform then it should not be considered as plagiarism. Copy paste from other source should be avoid at any cost and strictly. All the best!

As a writer, editor, and journalist, I find plagiarism reprehensible and totally unacceptable. Thanks, @crypto.Piotr, for reminding the PH community and beyond that plagiarism is not tolerated on this platform.

I am totally against plagiarism and this should be treated strictly.
