Recent SERIOUS ISSUES with OUR CURATION TRAIL on Steemit

Small announcement:

recent problems with OUR PH CURATION TRAIL

This has been quite a difficult weekend as I had some plans and goals I hoped to achieve; things to do within Project.hope community, yet I hardly managed to get anything done. Mostly for one reason:

SteemDB auto has been down for most of the time. And that resulted with our ph-fund curation trail (on Steemit) not working as well as I hoped it would.

I've spent hours checking if Steem auto is back and working again. Every now and then I would drop a small 1% upvote on some random post, just to see if curation trail has been triggered.

At the same time, several of our PH members would share links with me to their posts, asking if I forgot/missed upvoting those posts with our trail. Each time I would have to explain the current situation.

It's ALL SO EXTREMLY TIME CONSUMING and quite frustrating.

Since problems with Steem Auto haven't been resolved - I figured that it may be best if I make a post explaining this issue.

IMPORTANT

Due to the fact that for 3 full day Steem auto haven't been working at all - we've lost a huge amount of voting power (which was just "sitting") and currently many published articles within PH may not receive an upvote. Especially those posts which are already reaching 5th or 6th day.

There is unfortunatelly nothing I can do about it.
At the same time, I need you all to be aware of this current issue.

DOUBLE-CHECK before you send me a message

Assuming that you would notice that one of your post published within Project.Hope community is already 5-6 days old, and wasn't yet upvoted with our curation trail: I would need you all to follow a simple instruction:

before you send this link to me, please check out your account on www.steemd.com/@username. If you will notice that your post has been previously upvoted with @ph-fund, then I would need you to assume that we've tried to triggered trail on this post.

In that case - the problem is with Steemit curation trail and that it's pointless to share such a link with me. Because I won't be able to do anything about it. Unfortunatelly.

It is really a serious problem with the trail, because it does not allow to have benefits for all, also it adds a lot of work, because you have to check again and again to see if the trail is likely to be activated. It is complicated.

I also thought you had the plan of creating a bot for the upvote system just like we have on our discod channel.. Is the bot not working or was there any problem encountered?

Indeed. We're already supported with bot. Unfortunatelly this bot cannot help much if problem is with steem-auto and it's curation trail.....

Yep, as soon as steemdb gets running consistently again, I'll allocate more to the curation trail. Hoping the Devs can figure this out, that said, you never know what is going on in their lives where they just don't have the time to work the problem.

Now I confirm reading this post. Thank you admin for the great work you are doing.

However, considering the enormous work that the curator(s) is(are) doing here, and considering the effect of vote, unvote and re-vote on the account voting power, I will suggest that upvotes that do not trigger the trail be left that way, everyone knowing that it is not intentional, and that it is not the fault of the curator. As long as you see that @project.hope and @ph-fund accounts have voted your post, you should understand that the trail was down when it was voted.

Ahh i didn't know about that. So that means tons of manual curation... Would it help if you had more curators? and somehow divide the curations given the timezones?

Another thing i want to highlight not about you guys that are doing excellent work but for the members just like me.

Guys, don't spam or send messages like "why you didn't vote my post, did you forgot"

You may be part of a very helpful community but that doesn't mean that you will always receive a vote. None is guaranteed a vote or something except i don't know you are a curator or something and you have made a deal.

Give the guys behind the team a break!

Yeah, read it and noted. I too was facing issues with steemdb. Wanted to edit voting weights for the curation trails i follow. Anyway hope the issue can be reduced in the future.

In the future, steem auto might not work again and again. So I will suggest to keep some volunteers to vote posts which deserve it.
That will be quite easy for you and when the steem auto gets fixed then no need to worry about.

I too was using auto.steemdb.online as my auto-voter and it stopped working even before I lost my Internet. I have been looking for a replacement auto-voter ever since, so if you know of one that is safe to use, I would like to know of it. Thanks!
