Greetings again my dear friends of this prestigious platform of @steemit.com, because as we know through the educational field we have managed to radiate or spread in the most effective way any kind of learning in every way, therefore, it is important to note that everything around us somehow has an influence on our existence, and that is why man is constantly in full development of many scientific-technological tools that allow him to continue learning about his wonderful and vital environment, and thus to continue to subsist in this complex, but wonderful universe.

Introduction

The phenomena that develop in our environment are innumerable, however, we can say that the movement, light and sound, are the most indispensable for our lives, and also for all living species that are cohabiting with us on this beautiful planet which we have called Earth, therefore, in relation to the above expressed in this opportunity I wanted to share with you all in a general way the generation of the phenomenon of sound, and thus, to highlight its great and essential importance for all of us.

If we focus on the tool for obtaining and interpreting the phenomenon of sound, we must undoubtedly talk about the science of acoustics, since this sub-branch of physical science is known as the science of sound, then, it is responsible for knowing how sound is generated and propagated through a given material or elastic medium, and when the sound moves from one side to the other, we will find other intrinsic phenomena such as reflection, absorption, refraction, diffraction, among others.

Therefore, just as our eyes can capture the images of our environment, our auditory system (ears) can perceive the different sounds around us, but it is important to mention that for the phenomenon of sound to develop, there must undoubtedly be some kind of vibration of the component particles of any body or object that emits sound. When this happens, sound waves are generated, which propagate through space-time where the source of sound generation is located until these waves reach our ears.

According to the above we can highlight how the generation of sound depends on the fundamental phenomenon of movement and in particular the vibratory motion, and this movement belongs to the family of oscillatory movements, and that no doubt, are found in any space-time of our universe because everything has some form of vibration and thus sound, although often we can not perceive these sound waves, however, are always present at our side and at any time where we find ourselves.

The phenomenon of sound

As already stated, for sound to be generated it is necessary that the component particles of any body or object begin to vibrate and thus begin to form sound waves which undoubtedly manage to disturb the tranquility of the material medium through which these waves propagate to reach a receiver of sound that can be our ears, usually, the medium of sound propagation is the air, but it can also do it through a liquid or solid medium, but, in other deliveries we will be relating to this propagation in the material media described above (liquids and solids).

The sound can be generated both artificially and naturally, this will depend on the source of generation of these sound waves, and as we know, these sources mentioned above can be represented by many examples that we can observe in our environment, which is why we will show an example of generation of the phenomenon of sound artificially as you can see in the following image gif.

Gif_Generación de sonido artificial.gif

As you could visualize when releasing the tip of the antenna (once pressure was exerted on it) it began to oscillate or vibrate from one side to the other of its stable equilibrium point, and thus disturbing the air molecules around it, and thus generating sound waves that go out to propagate through the material medium until they reach our ears as receivers of the sound, and this is an example of so many others that we can find around us, now we can witness the generation of sound naturally, and of course, the best example of which we could witness is the vibratory movement of our vocal cords, and thus, generating the sound of our voice as you can see below in the following animated gif.

Gif_Cuerdas vocales vubrando.gif

As you could see my dear readers we met two examples of generation of the phenomenon of sound both artificially and naturally, the truth is that for this there must always be a vibration of the component particles of a particular body or object which emits sound, and also, the vibratory motion is everywhere and thus the sound is too.

Conclusion

Thanks to the interpretation of essential phenomena developed in nature is that man has managed to increase its longevity in this universe, and all this thanks to the remarkable action of science-education, as one extracts the knowledge and the other has spread all this knowledge to the rest of humanity, which is why we must always highlight the great work done by both the field of science and education.

In this article we begin to relate to the wonderful phenomenon of sound and especially how it is generated and the same as has been expressed depends on another essential phenomenon such as the movement especially the vibratory and without vibration there will never be sound, therefore, when we perceive with our auditory systems (ears) any sound think that there is also a vibration of the component particles of the body emitting such sound waves.

In other deliveries we will continue related to other characteristics of sound and other intrinsic phenomena when these sound waves propagate through certain material or elastic media such as air, liquids or solids, highlighting that in a vacuum the sound waves do not propagate, so until another opportunity my dear readers.

Hello @rbalzan79
You made me remember when I studied everything that has to do with sound, the capture of it by our ear, con.o is processed, how it is generated, it is quite a complex subject, especially because it is abstract, you can not visualize or touch, although you can feel it.
Seeing it from the physical point of view can be even more complicated if we talk about magnitude or wavelength.
Good post, good topic.
Greetings.

Hello friend @josevas217.

The understanding of the phenomenon of sound will always represent for all of us an essential knowledge because thanks to it we can capture through our auditory systems (ears) any sound of our environment, and as you very well express is an abstract topic but of great value to all living beings on this planet, many successes and thanks for sharing such a nourishing commentary. Greetings.

While it is true that these senses are very important, especially for species that have to flee from predators, they are all integrated into a life system. Excellent layout and proposal, as always.

That's right, many species of animals manage through sound to realize the arrival of certain natural phenomena before we can perceive them, thank you for your great contribution, many successes. Best regards.

Greetings friend, a good post with excellent images as always, the interpretation and study of sound has certainly been an important field for science, as well as the images, is a necessary aspect to know our environment and develop the technology associated with the reproduction of sounds.

Hello, @rbalzan79.

Interesting article.
But I must tell you that I disagree with the example you used as an artificial sound generation.

Why is it considered artificial? Why does it come from a man-made object? That part was not clear to me.

What I can contribute to your post is that sound is the product of a release of energy.
Energy, as we know, is neither created nor destroyed, but transformed.
Therefore, when we speak of sound, we refer to waves of energy that travel through the air and are captured by our eardrums or tympanal membranes.

How were these waves generated? What was its origin?

I would consider artificial origin a sound coming from a digital electronic device or something like that.

The song of a bird is of natural origin.
Even if an avalanche is generated and rocks fall off a mountain spontaneously, that would be of natural origin. When we vibrate the strings of a guitar, a natural sound is produced.

It is my humble opinion.

Have a nice day.

Hello dear friend @juanmolina.

Great contribution that you share with us, where it is important to emphasize what you express:

But I must tell you that I don't agree with the example you used as artificial sound generation. Why is it considered artificial? Why does it come from a man-made object? That part was not clear to me.

Interesting concern my friend, before delving into this concern it is important to emphasize again that sound is a wonderful phenomenon that originates through vibrations or oscillations, that is, only when the component particles of a certain body or object manage to vibrate or oscillate is when they give rise to longitudinal sound waves of pressure which carry the sound from the source to a receiver, and this is done when it propagates through a certain material or elastic medium as the mixture of gases that constitute the air or any liquid to solid medium.

In relation to the above it is important to express that the sound can be considered of both natural and artificial origin, and this aspect is linked according to the source of generation of the sound, therefore, when we talk about natural sounds we can say that they are those that come from our nature as the wind, waterfalls, the sounds that come from animals such as the example that very well you express us as it is the song of a bird, in the same way are natural those sounds that we humans emit when we speak, sneeze, laugh, cough, among others, however, when we manipulate some type of instrument or artifact created by us and we stop emitting a natural sound, for example, when playing a trumpet, we stop emitting a natural sound.

Therefore, artificial sounds are considered to be those that come from the different artifacts or instruments designed by our ingenuity, such as vehicles, telephones, household appliances, musical instruments (such as the strings of a guitar), the flexible antenna of the rustic vehicle of our example, among many others.

Thank you very much for your interesting contribution and exchange of ideas because this is how we can build any kind of learning through healthy feedback, many successes and many blessings to you and your family.

In order to deepen in the concern raised I will share some links as they allow to go deeper into the subject raised.

Oh wow, brother, thanks for that excellent answer!
I'm honored that you took the time to come up with this great comment.

... and this is done when it propagates through a certain material or elastic medium as the mixture of gases that constitute the air or any liquid to solid medium.

I had forgotten that sound also travels through water. In fact, when I have gone to sea, I have had the opportunity to dive and it is possible to hear the sound of the motor of the boats.

The examples of natural sounds that you have exposed are fully illustrative. I totally agree with you.

I sincerely appreciate that you have prepared this didactic answer for me. Many thanks.

God bless you and your whole family. Hugs!

Thanks to you brother @juanmolina, for taking the time to read my article and share your excellent point of view, greetings and we continue reading, and also many successes and blessings to you and your family.
