Thoughts about Splinterlands Adjust Rewards Proposal

Things have changed a lot in the Splinterlands and the best is that all these changes are good for the community as well as the project. They have launched a proposal option in the game where SPS holders get the option to vote to support the proposal or against the state if they are not in favor of it. In my opinion, this is the right approach in any project if it is driving towards decentralization.

When we call it decent lies that means in any project the power is given to the community and not to the founders or the team member to make the decision. Here we can see the example where any change proposed by the team has to be approved by the community members. So if any proposal is approved then it will be implemented and if not then no changes will happen.

What is Proposal?

A proposal is a suggestion to change something in the Splinterlands game or ecosystem. Players with staked SPS can vote for or against these proposals. Each staked SPS token will be worth one vote, so the more SPS tokens a player has staked, the more they will be able to influence the results of the votes.

So now splinterlands has launched a proposal and this is a good one for the players. As per this proposal reward will be based on the level of cards that any player holds in the game. Is very good because the person who will be holding high-level cards will be rewarded more in comparison to the one who is not holding high-level cards. As of now, there is no difference and it is rewarded based on the league no matter what level of cards a person holds.

I expect that if this is implemented which is most likely to happen then more people will prefer to play the game. This is because the reward will be improved and the players who are not holding high-level cards will be encouraged to buy more cards and combine to increase the level. Now there are many ways that people follow including the rental and many other things but if the gameplay will reward more then I don't think there is any alternative to this.

Change is good

I can see that proposal has been voted on by the majority of the community members and currently 84% of people have supported the proposal whereas the required percentage is just 66%. So out of 100%, only 16% of people are not supporting the proposal which does not make any difference. Votes in support of the proposals are done by 84% of the community members which means that soon we are going to have a change in the game. I think this 16% of people who voted against the proposal are the ones who were not holding high-level cards but there is something not important now. I am in favor of this proposal and I expect that the experience will be much better once the change is implemented.

Because I support this proposal so I have also voted on the same and this will be closed in the next three days. I hope that the changes will be implemented from the next season onwards as the current season is pending for about 7 days. Currently, I am not playing the game because I have rented out my cards due to my hectic schedule. If this change will be introduced and implemented then properly I'll have to change my strategy in the game and will try to level up cards the and start playing the game once again.

So let's wait and watch to see how things will be changed after the implementation of the new proposal in the game. Hope that this will also contribute to the price increase in the market for the cards because this will increase the demand.
