When things don't go as we have hoped, we would then berate ourselves for a week or longer.

After a poor or average date, we would mope around for much too long.

We have to develope better coping mechanisms for errors and failures, as well as learnt to be gentle to ourself.

A method that encourages future achievement while not wasting an excessive amount of time and energy.

And here are three of these steps for not to descend into a pit of despair when something in life doesn't turn out the way you expected.

1. Remember that anyone trying to do worthwhile things in life will make mistakes.

We frequently just hear about people's achievements.

But the road to achieving those milestones frequently has numerous obstacles.

When we hear about someone's accomplishment in the media or imagine it in our minds, it might simply appear bright and dynamic.

The reality, however, and the wisest method to deal with failures, is frequently more like what Michael Jordan said:

"In my career, I've missed more than 9000 shots. I've dropped nearly 300 games. I've been given the game-winning shot 26 times, and each time, I failed. In my life, I have failed countless times. Thus, I am successful.

2. Speak to yourself as you would to a close friend.

Instead of criticising yourself, consider how your friend or parent would encourage and assist you.

Then behave and converse with yourself as he or she would.

When the first pain of a mistake or failure starts to fade, this prevents you from sinking into a pit of despair and enables you to be more constructive.

3. Ask helpful questions to yourself.

A mistake or setback rarely has a lasting effect. It might occasionally seem like such.

However, it's usually only a transitory situation, and you may take action.

Asking yourself these three questions can help you mobilise your energy, maintain your positivity, and see the circumstance as helpful feedback.

What can I take away from this, in particular?

What may I do one thing differently the following time?

What simple action can I take right away to begin resolving this situation?

I hope that was helpful; have a wonderful day!
