For me, beyond social networks; Steem keeps me update for the topics to catch up. I don't know if it is related with geographical position but Instagram, Facebook, Twitter have a litte noise. I can't select the topic that I need to follow. Also can not find the true customer field.
Steem's selectivity solves noise problem.
