The video game economic revolution, part 1
Introduction
This article is about a revolution taking place in society, which utilizes technology from the cryptocurrency community, to create a revolution in the video game community. The revolution of which I am speaking is one in which video game players time spent playing games can be reimbursed, as in the players can be paid to play the games. Additionally the second part of the revolution to which I speak involves the players achieving ownership of in game reward items and being able to move them between characters, between games and to sell them in a market frequented by other players.
Background
In the social media economy of Facebook or Instagram, the creator of Facebook provides the application, and the consumers provide the content and their attention. The video game economy is different from the social media economy because the creators of video games produce the content and video gamers consume the content. But gamers still provide their time and attention. I feel the current video game revolution is based on these two things:first, is the time of gamers feel their time and attention shouldn’t be free. Second, is that the things gamers win, in the game, should belong to them.
Time
The time and attention of gamers has proven itself to be valuable to video game manufacturers, so the first part of the revolution is to pay players for playing.
Ownership of in items won in game.
Additionally most gamers agree that the other unsatisfactory thing about the video game experience is the lack of ownership over items won inside the games. A component of that complaint includes the lack of portability of these items between game sequels or related games.
The Revolution
The revolution of which I am speaking is one in which the time video game players spendvplaying games can be reimbursed, if the players achieve certain objectives. Additionally the second part of the revolution to which I speak involves the players achieving ownership of in game reward items and being able to move them between characters, between games and being able sell them in a market frequented by other players.
Comment
You may be thinking at this point that it’s ridiculous to pay people to play video games. But if you look at the video game industry, it has many parallels to professional sports and other forms of entertainment. The best video games players are achieving celebrity style recognition and payment for their skills. They are also filmed playing certain games and they create or participate in live promotions or events where others players gather to watch them play video games. The video gaming industry has become by many estimates a 2 Billion dollar industry. The industry makes money on games, game merchandise, contests, live events and endorsements.
If you are a parent, relative or friend of a gamer, you understand the large investments of time made by not only the best players, but also by the average player playing video games. This human time and effort is monetized by the Video Game Industry and the revolution is to share some of that money. The truly remarkable thing is that the sharing of video games revenue is not based on socialism or communism, but instead capitalism, and it can be a win-win. Where the video game industry continues to make profits, but also the players and fans can make profits also. This is made possible by cryptocurrency, the blockchain, non-fungible cryptocurrency tokens called NFT’s and micro-transactions. And that is the subject of the second part of this article, a game called Light⚡️nite. I have copied the YouTube trailer address below for your enjoyment.

I consider myself highly terrible with games, I don't have any form of interest in it at all but if it can be monetized, I guess I will give it a trial.
