Steem will stay alive as a platform (not as a decentralized one) because there are a lot of DAPPs based on the steemchain, but the community will be based on catpic posting, and there won't be any decent discussion b/c it will be censored by the CCP and its (Google analogue) catamites.

HIVE will be a decentralized platform, and I expect there will still be some censorship (the butthurt never ends, right ;>), but it will be a community, not a Stepford Suburbia.

I do want to go back to the first point, tho. Excluding the TRON voters isn't censorship, it's not giving another shot at your back to the people that have proved they WILL take that shot.
