Amazon is one of the biggest E-commerce company in the world. If a company as big as amazon could add support for cryptocurrency as a payment option on their platform it will be great.
Sadly amazon CEO Andy Jassy recently says in CNBC interview that they are not planning to add support for crypto currencies anytime soon. At the same time he said that they can add support for buying and selling nfts on the platform.
So the rumours that were about amazon adding crypto payment as option has come out to be fake. I hope we can see this happening someday in future when we all can buy goods from amazon using crypto.
Anyways there is nothing to be sad about because the company see blockchain technology as future and wanted to enter into it someday. they have been talking about cryptocurrency and how blockchain is future since more than a yer now.
Also there was a advertisement for Head of product by AWS ( Amazon web services ) for amazon managed blockchain. This tells us that they might be already experimenting with the technology before they can come out with anything for their users.

I believe that soon amazon will have to accept coins as a form of payment, for now they are not willing to accept it due to the huge revenue they have, but in the near future the market for coins will be so big that they will have no other choice.
