I believe most things in life are all about sales.

Want a job? You must sell the idea that you can help your potential employer get the result they want faster and more efficiently.

Want a date? You must sell the ideas that going out with you will be more fun and more rewarding than anything else the other person might want to do instead.

Do you want your a customer to buy your product? You must sell them the idea that your product will give them the result their heart desire better, easier, or faster than any other product or service out there.

That’s why I think entrepreneurs are some of the greatest salespeople this world has ever seen. Normal salespeople sell products and services, entrepreneurs sell almost everything.

An entrepreneur might have to sell the idea that his/her product will be very profitable in the short-term and long-term to the investors, so he/she might get funded. He would have to sell his vision to his employees to motivate them to work hard.

He might even be the salesperson, literally! That’s what happened to Larry Elision, the founder of Oracle. He went out to get clients to buy the softwares his company created and even those one they haven’t created.

So what’s all these about? The bottom line is - if you want to be a highly successful entrepreneur, you need more than great products or services.

Are you good at what you do? Great! But that’s not enough. You need to learn how to be a salesman, an accountant and other things.

When your company gets bigger, you can then hire more hands to help you with the other aspects of the business so you can focus on the important aspects.

To be a successful entrepreneur, you have to be, or hire, a great salesperson. Cashflow is the lifeblood of your business, and the sales department plays a large role in that.

Plot twist, entrepreneurs are also salespersons, in every aspect. To be a successful entrepreneur, the innate habit of selling things at a higher value must be there. Now by 'selling things', I also mean advertising things
