We all know that the new variant of Corona virus has arrived and WHO given it the name "Omicron". Today I am going to discuss about it and will also discuss its impact on global economics.

What do we need to know about Omicron Variant?

Corona virus or known as Covid 19 was started back in 2019 in China, from there it started to spread to the other countries and just after some months it covered the whole world. It is the nature of the virus that it changes itself by the passing of time but not impacting much on the properties.

Although Scientists and Doctors are still doing research on the Omicron variant but it is confirmed that the new variant can spread more faster than the other variants. This variant is also dangerous like the Delta variant so needed precautions should be taken so the patients can prevent from severe illness.

What are it's symptoms?

Symptoms of this this variant are same as the others;

• Fever
• Cough
• Headache
• Tiredness
• Loss of smell and taste

These are the most common symptoms and it can take them to show in 5-6 or 14 days.

There are serious symptoms of this variant too which need a patient immediate medical attention. Those serious symptoms are;

• Chest pain
• Having problem with your breathing
• losses of your senses, Confusion

How to Prevent the spread ?

Prevention is better than cure

As vaccines are expected to protect against severe illness due to the infection. We should get vaccinated as soon as possible and to prevent the spread of the virus we should follow the advices given by World Health Organization which are;

• Wear a mask in a public place
• Try to keep indoor yourself
• Maintain distance from others (1 meter)
• Wash your hands.

Omicron A New Challenge for the World

In the past two years the world has faced so many challenges including economical crisis and it is the worst thing any country could imagine. Almost all of the countries have bear so many problems during pandemic. Oil crisis, High Inflation rate, Higher unemployment, loss of capital in stock markets and many more. According to Statista all the major economies have lost their 5.7 % of GDP in 2021.

But in the past six months we have seen that everything was coming back to routine. The trade cycle was started again. The crisis which were started during pandemic were seemed to be end. All the stock markets were started to raise. Airplanes could be seen in the air......

But suddenly a new variant of corona virus Omicron was detected in South Africa and sooner it reached to the every region of the world. Now we have to face crisis and damages again and just in a month Omicron variant has triggered the whole world. Once again the world is going to face the economical crisis .

On Dec 27. More than 2500 international flights have been canceled. According to the CNN more than 5000 flights delayed and 1200 were canceled in the USA alone as staff and crew call out sick.

At this time of Christmas holidays the travel agencies are still facing crisis due to restrictions of the Government. Hotel Industry have also started to take measurers regarding corona virus. It seems like the world is going in the Pandemic again. Countries are imposing ban on the other infected countries which will again make a barrier between the Global trade cycle that will take countries to the economical crisis.
