A Contest : What’s Your Choice : Money, Peace, or Happiness

We strive to acquire different things-money, peace, happiness, in today life. All of them are worth something, but what if we need to choose between them? Which one can we give priority over the other? Or is there a sustainable balance between the two? In this competition, “What’s Your Choice: Money, Peace or Happiness?” and @alfazmalek organized it, I would share my perspective on this important dilemma and which among these three I think is the most important one in life. So without further ado, lets take a look at this interesting question and see what actually matters to me.

✅What is more important in life – money or peace?

For me, both money and peace are important, but it depends on balance. Money is a means to an end that we need to survive and live comfortably, to be able to care for ourselves and our families. It is, of course, as important peace that brings forth the calm to enjoy and appreciate life and enable you to appreciate what you are doing, and life itself. Without peace, even affluence may feel unworthy. At its best, it’s about finding that place in the world where both money, and peace, can co-exist peacefully, as they often do together, making life better for us in multiple ways.

✅Is a long life better or a meaningful life?

I would argue that a meaningful life is worth much more than a long life. Living a long life can provide us with more years to experience the world, and more time to accumulate memories, but longevity doesn’t automatically correlate with fulfillment or joy. It’s how we use the time we have that matters. A fulfilling life is one in which we touch lives positively, build meaningful relationships, and chase our dreams, and our destiny. It’s about choosing purposefully; making sure our experiences line up with what we value.

A long life without purpose can feel like nothing of value has been achieved, whereas a short but meaningful life leaves behind a legacy that resonates with others long after they are gone. At the end of the day, it’s less how many years we walk the earth that matters, but how we choose to live those years, do good, be happy and be true to ourselves.

✅What would you choose first – a house, a car , job , or further education?

If I had to pick first between a house, a car, a job or , education, I would choose education first. Having a house or a car is important in the path towards stability and comfort, but education I think is what builds the base for the long term. With education, I can better myself and learn more things that can open doors for a good job and then of course save me to stability and buy few things such as a house, car, etc.

Education is the key to success that will open so many doors in my life, allowing me to become a better person and make more informed life choices. It also allows you to be able to pivot when situations change and to create a career that is not only fulfilling but also pays the bills. A home and a car are important part of the equation, but are just part of the equation. Education enables me to face the future with more opportunities to create the life I want.

✅What would you focus on more – present happiness or future security?

I believe present happiness does matter as well as future security, but finding a sweet spot between both aspects is extremely important. With present happiness in our lives we can have fun, enjoy our moments with the people we love, and accept the beauty in the mundane things that is what makes life. It fosters a sense of satisfaction in the present moment. But what about someday premise security that is vital for stability, well-being, and providing for our children? And without it we may have some trying times ahead of us.

At the end of the day, I think it’s all about balance — living as fully in the present as we possibly can, while planning and planning for tomorrow so that we can be secure. This allows us to get to enjoy today as well as tomorrow.
