Materials For Drawing

Step 1
I began by drawing the Herdsman. I first drew his cap and then his face. On his face, I drew his ears, eyes, nose and mouth. I also drew his shoulder and two hands. Finally, at this step, I drew the shepherd's stick on his shoulder, held by his two hands.
Step 2
I drew the body of the Herdsman putting on Hausa traditional cloth. The cloth was long to his knee level such that it covered the short trousers he was wearing.
Step 3
I drew the two legs of the Herdsman putting on sandals
Step 4
I shaded the Herdsman and his stick. I began with the stick and then the cloth of the shepherd. The next thing I shaded was his cap, face, hands and finally, his legs and sandals.
Step 5
I drew a cow behind the Herdsman. I drew it from the horn, face, body and legs. After the drawing, I shaded the cow and then shaded the shadow of the cow.
Step 6
I drew the second cow next to the first one. I also shaded it and shaded the shadow.
Step 7
I shaded the shadow of the Herdsman.
Step 8
I drew two more cows behind the Herdsman. After the drawing, I shaded the cow and I also shaded their shadow.
Step 9
I drew two trees behind the Herdsman and his cows. One of the trees is big, and the other is small. The trees have just a few leaves on them.
Step 10
I drew some scanty grass on the ground which brought me to the end of my drawing.
