The Diary Game 10/11/2023: Another Busy Day and the Beginning of Exercising

in hive-179660 •  last year
Today I woke up at 6.30 and went outside to check if I could work on my lawn, but it was cloudy again, so I gave up the idea. When I see the unkept hedge in my front yard, I feel bad.

When I look at my favorite white bush of roses makes me sad.

But I wanted to do something, so I fixed the laundry and used the vacuum cleaner in the meantime.

I hadn't gone for exercise since I arrived in Canberra, so I left for the park by bike and did a few workouts.

I have always felt that biking is the easiest way to go to the park just across the road. I either walk or bike depending on weather conditions so I thought I should go to my favorite exercising area by my bike.

I took my bike right up to the exercise area even though parking is available at the gate of the park.

My favorite exercises are the chest press and the bench press, so I did them, but in moderation, since I have been hearing that ost-COVID, the chances of heart attacks have increased, especially for elderly people.

I use mostly chest press exercise as it helps build a strong chest, but press bench exercise is good for younger ones and those who do it regularly. However, I should warn you at this point in time that post-COVID one should avoid rigorous workouts.

However, I would like to tell you a basic difference between a chest press which is all about fixed movement, and the bench press is carried out using non-fixed motion with free weights. I prefer the previous one because I feel the bench press is good for the younger lot.

Another difference is that older people can carry out the chest press in a seated position, pressing handles in front of them. I prefer this one.

However, I have heard that even young people are having cardiac arrests even when doing mild workouts, so I will wait until I receive my medical report.

I walked for a while barefoot on the grass and saw a few beautiful birds, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were not scared but even posing for a photo session.

I walked on the walking path for 15 minutes and felt I was out of practice so I would have to increase the frequency of my workouts.

I came back home and it was sunny again, but now there was no time for mowing the lawn, so I guess I will have to postpone it for next weekend because tomorrow we are expecting a few guests and we will also be visiting our friends and coworkers for Deewali greetings.

I took a shower meanwhile, my wife had transferred the clothes to the dryer, and as I had asked her not to make anything for my breakfast, I had a few pieces of fruit, crackers, and jam with a cup of milk.

I was due for a health checkup at 4 PM, so I finished my work early and walked to the hospital, which is not far from my house. I am expecting my reports on Monday, and hopefully, everything will be fine.

Don't you think that our hospital has a similar sign as that of STEEM?

I walked to the nearby post office posted the circulars I had printed last night and came back home.

That's all for today's diary.
