Greetings everyone

Tell us something about what infection is.

Infection may generally be defined as an interesting and yet a highly pathological process in which pathogens for example, bacteria viruses or fungi get to the body and distort its normal form and function. And these microorganisms can penetrate into the internal body through different routes, for instance, through injures, respiratory system or through the alimentary canal. Inside they can secrete toxic products or proliferate intensively causing fever, inflammation and pain.

Also the body’s immune system usually counteracts by directing white blood cells to the site of the invaders and this causes the typical symptoms associated with infection, inflammation , redness, stiffness or even swelling. So however, sometimes the immune response results become devastating and cause complications of different severity. Knowing how pathogens disseminate and how the body handles infections is important for treating as well as preventing diseases.

Have you ever had an infection and how did you take care of yourself during that period?(Medication, isolation or hospitalization).

Yes I have had an infection before about 7 months ago and this infection is called measles infection which was all over my face and my body and when it started I didn't know what is called but after when it keeps increasing I bought one cream called visiderm and applied but still yet it didn't stop it was like the cream keeps bringing it up it was getting worse every day.

And at that period I couldn't stand in the sun because anytime I'm in the sun it crash me alot but after some time I decided to visit a nearby hospital so after getting to the hospital the I explain to the doctor about my illness which I showed them and he asked me if i changed my cream or was using new water to bath but i answered no that I'm still making use of the one i had before then they run some tests and the results shows they was no bad infection that it was just the measles and they prescribed a drug for me.

But can you imagine that after the taking the drugs and some cream that they give me in the hospital they was no change my body was just irritating anytime I look at myself so i decided to call my mother and tell her about it and she told me not to worry that its just mesus that I should go and buy mentholated dusting powder which i did and i applied it in 2 days time i couldn't find the measles that was on my body all thanks to my mother.

Tell something about whether precautions like hand hygiene, mask and isolation should be taken to avoid infection.

Precautions such as washing hands, wearing a mask, and being quarantined are very important for the prevention of spreading of infections and it gets worse when such surfaces are frequently touched; washing hands with soap and water can greatly minimize the contraction of pathogens from surfaces to body.

Also mask use in crowded or high risk exposure settings reduces likelihood of breathing in pathogens present in the executed air and such precautions as quarantine of patients helps in preventing spread of the infection to other persons. Such measures are very simple but are so qcritical essential in the fight of infectious diseases in the society so my dear friends by doing all these constantly i believe you will help in minimizing risks towards everyone’s well being and health.
