My opinion on Conflict

Introduction

When people are not living in peace, they are in conflict. When there's a misunderstanding between two friends, there's a possibility of conflict emanating from that misunderstanding. In order to avoid conflict, we must first look for possible ways to prevent one. Welcome to my blog friends!

According to your understanding, what is conflict and what is its outcome?

Conflict is a state of disagreement between two or more people. Conflict is also the absence of peace, it is a state of war. Conflict can be intra-personal, that is, conflict within, and conflict can also be interpersonal. That is when there is conflict between two or more people.

The outcome of conflict, be it personal, in the work place or amongst friends, may end positively strengthening relationships, and it can end sadly leading to dispute/crisis. Or it ends in a win-win situation where no one wins or loses. The outcome of every conflict is determined by how it is being managed.

Can we end the conflict completely or not? Please explain a little.

Like I've mentioned in my last sentence above, ending conflict depends on how it is being managed. If a conflict is properly handled, it may be easier for the conflict to come to an end. Take, for instance, if I have issues with my friends or colleagues at work, it takes a simple understanding from me and them for the conflict to be resolved. But, if the parties involved don't understand each other, it would be difficult for them to negotiate and come to terms with each other for the conflict to come to an end. So, strategic management of conflict is required to remedy or manage and to end a conflict.

What can be done to prevent conflict between a team or two individuals?

Understanding is the best thing that can prevent conflict anywhere.
Negotiation: Conflict can be prevented if negotiation skills are employed. Instead of going into conflict, the parties involved can negotiate and continue with their normal affairs.
Set boundaries in your relationship with people. With that, there won't be conflict.
Proper relationships with others and positive attitudes toward others can prevent conflict.
Avoid escalating and complicating issues.

Conflict can be preventable but, in the real sense, conflict leads to peace. Like the saying, without conflict, there will be no peace. Therefore, conflict is sometimes necessary in order to achieve lasting peace.

I really love your definition of conflict, especially the point where you mentioned that conflict is the absence of peace and a state of war.
It is very true that conflict is the absence of peace,, usually where there is conflict, you cannot find peace there.

Conflict can actually end completely,, but it depends on how it is been handled and it is also dependent on the parties involve as well.

Understanding is the number one and the best way to avoid conflict because, conflict is usually as a result of misunderstanding... therefore,, let ensure to understand each other better in order to avoid conflict either between team or individuals.

Effective communications and understanding is a very good way of resolving conflicts, many people have misunderstood themselves and it resulted to breakdown of their relationships.
Conflicts should be avoided at all cost because its outcome is always negative and may lead to destruction.

You have said it all. Relationship levels have to be consistently put in the right place to stop conflict. Even in marriage offences happen and last for days but when it is well handle there will be peace at last.
