Today I want to tell you the history that happened in my country which is known throughout the world, in my country Indonesia there is a province called Aceh province which is the land where I was born and where I currently live.

Aceh is one of the areas located in the western tip of Indonesia which is one of the places where the majority are Muslims. In the past, before Indonesia's independence in 1945, the Indonesian people as well as the Acehnese people had to play a role in fighting the invaders who came from the Netherlands.

When the war was raging in Aceh, the Aceh region could never be controlled by the Dutch colonialists because the Acehnese people in the past were very strong in fighting, even the Acehnese people really wanted to die in battle because in Islam, dying in battle against the invaders is a martyrdom (guaranteed Heaven by Allah).

Therefore, our nation was given the nickname Aceh Pungo which means Crazy Aceh, this is because the Acehnese people like to fight like they are enjoying delicious food, whenever the Acehnese people are ready to fight until now.

The Dutch were so tired of fighting against the Acehnese people at that time that now the largest Dutch cemetery abroad is in Aceh, precisely in the city of Banda Aceh, even in the past the Acehnese Hero had killed a Dutch war general named General Johan Harmen Rudolf Kohler.

Aceh is hell for the colonizers who tried to seize Aceh into their hands, but if the Acehnese people are not hostile, we will be Heaven for you who come to our place because we also have a tradition of Peumulia Jame which means we will entertain guests who come very well so that the guests are comfortable staying with us.

Because of the history of the great war against the Dutch colonialists at that time, Aceh was known throughout the world as a nation that was very fond of fighting and preferred to die rather than surrender.

This is my entry for the Contest || Lessons My Country's History Has Taught the World which was organized by my brother @deepak94, I also want to invite @dekki, brother @sahmie and also buk @sailawana to participate together in this contest.

Wow 😳 this history about the city Aceh and the nickname the got is interesting.
it's good to fight only when you're fighting for what's right and I believe that's what the people of Aceh were doing.

And currently I've learned something new by knowing the Netherland's Largest cemetery abroad. This indeed a lesson.

Terimakasih kawan, semoga kita terus sukses dan selalu bahagia
