Onam is a major festival celebrated in Kerala in September. Kids love the story of King Mahabali, the kind ruler who is believed to visit Kerala during Onam. Onam Sadya, a grand feast, is a favourite among kids, offering a variety of sweet and savoury dishes. It is also a harvest festival and people celebrate it by enjoying a great feast. The festival is a celebration of ten days, with the first and the last day being very special. Women perform a traditional folk dance called Kaikotikali. Onam is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Kerala and is a beautiful festival. People decore thier house with flowers and make rangoli. People exchange gifts and sweets among neighbour, relatives, friends. People also wear new clothes.

As per Islamic calendar, Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, was celebrated on Sept 16, 2024

Eid-Un-Nabi or Mawlid commemorates the birth of Hazrat Muhammad Saheb or Prophet Muhammad in 570 CE (Rabi-ul-Awwal) in the holy town of Mecca. He received his first revelation through the angel Jibrail (Gabriel) while deep in thought and prayer in a cave at Mt. Hira in 610 CE The Prophet is considered to be an epitome of virtue. Eid-Un-Nabi is a festival that affirms love, faith and reverence towards Allah and the Prophet.

September 17 marks Vishwakarma Jayanti, believed to be the day when Vishwakarma manifested in all his divine glory.

Jai Shri Vishwakarta, Prabhu Jai Shri Vishwakarta, by keeping the wheel of creation in motion, the religion of Shruti. In the beginning of creation, he made rules and gave Shruti teachings. He developed the world for all living beings. Rishi Angira could not find peace even after meditating on the Lord, he attained all success. When the king suffering from disease, took refuge in you. By becoming the mover of the world, you removed his sufferings. When the charioteer couple, called out to you. Hearing their poor prayers, Hari removed all the troubles. The king, who is alone, has four eyes, five eyes. Two-armed, four-armed, adorned with all the forms. When one meditates on the position, one attains all success.
