Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.
Winter has always been harsh here in the valley of Kashmir, bringing a significant drop in temperature and posing challenges to daily life, making it even more difficult. Now that winter has passed and life has returned to normal, everything feels so pleasing—almost like coming back from a potential death threat.
With the arrival of spring, beauty is slowly beginning to unfold. The snow has almost melted, though some still lingers in shady areas.
This morning, I woke up a little late because I had gone to bed quite late due to some sleeplessness. After getting up, I performed ablution and offered my morning prayers alone at home. Then, I engaged in some physical exercises to maintain my health and ensure I burned some calories to stay fit and free from any ailments.
By the time I finished, I was drenched in sweat. After taking a short rest, I had a hot bath and then had breakfast with my parents. Once I was ready, I left for the village where I have been posted.
Early in the day, the weather seemed quite pleasant, and on such days, being out in the field is always enjoyable.
As the registration for the PMAY housing scheme is currently ongoing, I went to the village to help people register for the scheme online. Unfortunately for me, the app was not compatible with my device. However, since I usually carry my tablet with me for work, I was able to use it and successfully register a few beneficiaries.
Using a tablet for such tasks can be quite cumbersome, as it is a bit heavy to handle frequently throughout the day, especially while taking photographs and completing biometric verification. However, since I am highly dedicated to my work, I hardly let such inconveniences affect my efficiency.
I managed to register three to four beneficiaries whose application forms were successfully submitted. However, some registration forms remained pending due to certain deficiencies. I will have to wait a few days until these formalities are completed.
Later in the afternoon, while I was busy with my work, the clouds grew denser, and all of a sudden, a thunderstorm began. In no time, it started raining, which disrupted my work. Since I had to move on foot from one place to another, I couldn’t continue and had to wait in one spot.
Meanwhile, snowfall began in the area. At that point, I decided to leave and head back home because if the snow accumulated on the road, I might not have been able to reach my destination. The road is quite hilly, and navigating such curves in snowy conditions would have been nearly impossible for me.
Traveling on the road while it was snowing was both beautiful and enjoyable, but at the same time, I was worried about the consequences of heavy snowfall, as it could have disrupted my work.
Without staying long in the village, I headed back home and reached around 5 PM. Upon arrival, I was feeling cold, so I immediately sat near the electric heater. After having a warm cup of tea, I took some rest, refreshed myself, and relieved the fatigue I had accumulated from walking throughout the day.
