Hope everyone is well. Today, I'm here to present my participation in the competition run by the Hindwhale community's founder, @jyoti-thelight. Today I will share a great recipe with you. The recipe for chicken with gourd will be shared with you today. I hope everyone likes the recipe I gave them today.
Chicken with gourd:
Chicken with gourd is a delicious and familiar Bengali dish. Since it's healthful, it's popular and served with hot rice. The combination of gourd and chicken is delicious. It's excellent to combine gourd and chicken. Gourd is cold and light for our body, so this recipe of gourd and chicken meat is a favorite of many to keep the body cool on hot days. Without delay, let's move on to today's recipe for cooking chicken with gourd.

The items I used to prepare chicken with gourd are being shared with you.

Gourd | 500 grams |
Chicken meat | 1 kg |
Onion chopped | 1 cup |
Ginger paste | 1 tablespoon |
Garlic paste | 1 tablespoon |
Turmeric powder | 1 teaspoon |
Chili powder | 2 teaspoons |
Cumin powder | 1 teaspoon |
Coriander powder | 1 teaspoon |
Cinnamon | 2-3 pieces |
White cardamom | 3 pis |
Black cardamom | 2 pis |
Easy method to cook chicken with gourd:
Step 1:
I cooked some chicken with a fresh gourd. I cut the gourd and chicken meat into small pieces. I washed it with clean water and drained it.

Step 2:
Add the bay leaves, cinnamon, and black and white cardamom to a skillet with hot oil and stir-fry. When a nice aroma comes out, I add the chopped onion and when the chopped onion becomes soft, I add the ginger paste and garlic paste. Then I grind the ginger paste and garlic paste for some time so that the raw smell of the spices goes away.

Step 3:
When the ginger paste and garlic paste are ground, I add the dry powdered spices. After adding the dry powdered spices, grind all the spices well with a little water.

Step 4:
When the oil rises above the spices, you will understand that the spices are perfectly ground. At this stage, I add the chicken meat and stir-fry the meat with the spices. In order to enhance the cooking's flavor, I will grind the meat for a bit.

Step 5:
After I mince the beef, I'll add the chopped gourd. I covered it, added the gourd, and cooked it for five minutes. I removed the lid in between and stirred it so that it would not stick to the bottom of the pot.

Step 6:
At this stage, the water has come out of the gourd to cook it covered. I did not add any additional water to cook the gourd and chicken. Cooking the gourd in this way will increase the taste of the food many times.

Step 7:
Keep the heat on the stove low and cook for 10-15 minutes. As the excess water reduces, the gourd and chicken will be cooked well.
Step 8:
At the end of cooking, I removed the lid of the pot and added the fried cumin powder. Then I stirred it with the meat. I will turn off the heat.
Step 9:
Gourd and chicken are ready to be served over hot rice.
