Hi guys, compliment of the season. How is everyone doing? I trust this season has been a good one for you? For me, it has indeed been a great one as I have had countless of events and marriages that has made the season a worthwhile. One of those marriages is the traditional marriage of my colleague and friend "Mr. Blessed Ahiate" that took place on the above date. Let me take you on a ride on all my activities as they unfolded that day.
I have had a lot of personal engagements already this day "Saturday the 28 day of December, 2024. But the marriage of Mr. Blessed Ahiate was one ceremony I can't miss for any reason. This is because, he has been a friend of mine right from my 100 level in tertiary institution till graduation and even after. So I woke up that morning as early as 5:30 am , said a prayer to God to direct the activities of the day for me.
After the my prayers, I took my tooth brush and paste and headed outside and brushed my teeth. Immediately I finished brushing, I engaged myself with the buck of house chores already waiting for me. I got a new apartment which I was supposed to pack into that weekend but because of this same marriage that I never wanted to miss, I couldn't move to the new house again.
So all that I could do was to start packing properties together, arranging them how I can carry them while conveying them to my new apartment. These I did from that morning while watching the time because I never wanted to miss the chartered bus that was booked by our colleagues to convey us to the marriage until 1:30pm. Then, I hurriedly freshened up, dressed and move to the location where we will all enter the bus, but by the time I got there, they have already gone.
I was really discouraged, but because it was my friend's marriage which I never wanted to miss for any thing, I had to pay my way to the marriage venue. On reaching there, all my colleagues were already sitted and were drinking very sweet fresh palm wine. So I joined them.

Soon, food was served and we all started eating while waiting for the the celebrant (the groom) to be called so we can all dance him into the venue. By time the MC will asked that the celebrant (the groom) be brought in, it was already some minutes pass 6pm. So all our colleagues and other friends of his that came danced and accompanied him into the venue.
Waoh... what a show of love we displayed as we supported our friends to our best abilities. This marriage was good one for me as it also gave me the opportunity of meeting with two of my high school old friends. We were so happy to meet with each other after 12 years.
Because of the long distance from the venue to where we came from, we couldn't wait for the ceremony to be over. So we all jumped into the bus and headed back home.

By the time I got home, it was already dark, I couldn't do anything again but to packed all the dirt and some old clothes I selected out before leaving for the marriage and set them on fire.
When I was done, I took my bath, had my dinner and retired for the day.
Thank you for reading through my diary till this point. Enjoy your day.
