Moon, Moon, Moon.We perfectly understand that the moon is always above the Earth; as long as it is considered a natural satellite, Earth primarily orbits it. However distance between the Earth and the Moon is about 238,855 miles ( 384,400 km). To believe that much space is in order, is far and long like going in a car all over the world ten times. It is a big satellite when compared to other satellites of the planets in our solar system. But it is so small as to compared to Earth. There is no weather, climate, or living things on the Moon. The sky on the Moon always looks black-even during the daytime. Now, taking Earth to be the size of a ball, the Moon would come out to be approximately the size of a tennis ball or an egg. In other words, it is said that the Moon is one quarter the size as compared to Earth.
One of the sweet and fun things about the Moon is that it keeps one side constantly facing Earth. This side happens to shine on the Earth at night, making Earth's surface bright. The reason the Moon does this is because it rotates on its axis with a time just equal to that going around the Earth. Thus, once we go out and gaze at the Moon, the part of the Moon which constantly faces us is one part that is near from Earth, then the other part that is not near which is called the far side can never be seen from earth.
The surface of the Moon consists of craters, mountains, and flat plains. These flat plains are what are called "maria," a Latin term meaning "seas." In fact, maria are a result of the ancient now solidified lava flows. These craters formed from impacts of asteroids, comets, and meteorites that have gone on over billions of years. The surface of the Moon is highly dusty and covered with a sort of powder called regolith. After all there is no atmosphere on the Moon, so the temperature is different at there
However as some studies from scientist shows, I have get to know that the Moon is slowly moving away from Earth at the rate of about 3.8 centimeters (1.5 inches) per year. However we must all say that it is not really Not much thoe, but over millions of years now it keeps moving.
Scientists believe that when the Moon first formed it was much closer to Earth.
While as barren as it gets when it comes to landscape, the Moon is very special in our hearts and imagination too. The moon really helps living things on Earth. Through time, humans have looked up to the Moon in great way. The Moon has been an inspiration for so many stories, poems, and songs back then at school even as at now. It is also a reminder of the beauty and power of the universe and Jah our dear creator.
The Moon also plays a very important role in our lives. The movement in the ocean are affected by the Moon. So The gravitational pull from the Moon makes let me just it causes the water in the oceans to rise and fall. That is why we have high tides and low tides in the ocean, that is so wow and powerful . The Moon takes part in the stabilization of the tilt of Earth's axis. It is quite important because it helps in keeping the stability of our climate.

In the old times, the Moon helped people keep the time. With its phases, they would create calendars. Right now We have different sections or types of moon phrase which that we see at night , which is: new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter, and waning crescent all this section we do see it at night in different months in the year. Every phase of the Moon has its special name and children do sing it as song at schools.
However dear friends It was in the year 1969 that the first human beings ever landed on the Moon. Indeed, it is one of those historic events that brought out the capabilities of science and technology. Some of the astronauts brought with them pieces of rock and dust from the Moon to help scientists get much more information about the Moon and its history.
Nowadays, the Moon is an object of research for scientists, who plan new missions, see its surface, and know more about its secrets. The Moon is among major sources of fascination and inspiration in people's minds across the world.
