Good day my beautiful people of this community and across the globe, hope your day is going smoothly, because mine is moving fine. It's a pleasure to also participate in this food dairy contest organized by @jyoti-thelight, big thanks to you ma'am.

Introduction

Today I want to tell you about what I cooked today, it's my local delicacy that I prepared today and I'm going to show you the step by step method of preparation, so Just sit tight and read to the end, I hope you enjoy it.

Before I begin with the preparation I will first of all list out the ingredients I used in preparing it below.

Ingredients
  • Cocoyam

  • Wateryam

  • Periwinkle

  • Crayfish

  • Pepper

  • Maggi

  • Salt

  • Red oil

  • Bonga fish

  • Cocoyam leaf

Step by step Preparation

Peeled the Cocoyam and wateryam,
Washed and grate it. Then I sprinkle a small amount of salt on the Wateryam and cocoyam so that it can have taste.

I washed my periwinkle into the pot, seasoned it with maggie, salt, pepper and red oil into the pot and turned it well.

wrapped the Cocoyam and wateryam bit by bit with the nkukwo (Cocoyam ) leaf into the pot.

After wrapping everything into the pot, I will now used hot water and pour into the pot of the wrapped Ekpang Nkukwo and placed it on fire, it will boil for about 30 to 45 minutes, I will keep putting water at intervals.

When it's finally soften well I will now put the remaining ingredients, like crayfish, fish, Maggi, pepper and red oil. I cover it to simmer well for 10minutes more. Then later I slice scent leaf (ntoñ) and put into the pot for flavour, some people uses curry leaf.

After putting the scent leaf, I put my bonga fish then I stir the pot with a spatula and cover it again to simmer for 2minutes , then I put it down and turn off the gas.

Hola amiga que buen plato que es original de tu región, me gusta que lleve ñame rallado, es lo que le da ese toque muy delicioso.

Claro Mediante vas cocinando vas echando agua y viendo como queda si mas espeso o menos, veo que les gusta el cangrejo de río es muy delicioso.
