Water is the source of life

Water is a much talked about and crucial issue in the world today. Because in many countries, people and animals do not have drinking water. So who is responsible for this? People themselves are responsible for the problem of drinking water shortage. People are unable to protect the clean water that has been given to them as a gift from nature. They destroy the water sources, rivers, and streams where they can get drinking water. Then they blame nature for it. Water is a priceless and invaluable resource. Since childhood, we have been talking about the value of water and writing essays and many articles. But we do not take steps to protect water in that way. Just saying and writing. They are not being implemented.

So, due to these actions of people themselves, many people today suffer from the lack of drinking water. We ourselves waste so much water in a day while going to perform various activities in our daily lives. The same is true in public places. You just leave the tap open without even closing it. So a lot of water is wasted from them. The value of water is felt only when there is not even a drop of water to drink. Until then, we do not feel the value of water. Also, if there is a water cut for two or three days, then we understand the value of water well. Otherwise, there is no feeling about it.

Water is the most essential thing to sustain life in the world. Water is essential not only for humans but also for animals and plants. It is also necessary for agriculture and crop cultivation. We can survive for a day or two without food. But we cannot survive for even a few hours without water. Because water is such an essential thing. About 70% of our body is water. So not drinking water properly will also cause many diseases.

We have learned since childhood that 97.5% of the world's water is seawater. That is, salt water. So it is not drinkable. Only 2.5% of the water that can be used as drinking water. Since a larger percentage of this is contained in ice blocks and glaciers, only a very small percentage can be used by humans, animals, and plants. That percentage is what many people today are wasting by polluting water.

I have also seen on TV news channels that people living in difficult areas of some countries are using cow urine for cooking and washing in their daily lives. So how dangerous is this? How far do people have to walk in the sun every day to find some water to drink? This is a very sad situation. But as I mentioned earlier, it is because of the mistakes made by people themselves that such situations have arisen today. The whole world is facing a water problem today because of the bad actions of a few people.

So if we continue like this, there is no telling what will happen in the future. If we run out of water, we will not even be able to think about life. Therefore, we must firmly remember that protecting drinking water is not the responsibility of a society, a country, or a government, but of each of us. There is no life without water.
