Betterlife Diary Game: ||Checking on the Farm and Witnessing Demolition of People Houses || 14- 01-2025

Good evening dear steemian friends, how was your day going, hope you had a great day? My day went well although was much taskful day, but in all I had a splendid day. So I'm here to tell you about my activities perform during the day and I hope you will find it interesting.

Early morning when I woke up the first thing I did was to have a brief morning devotion before I went outside to check on the my crops yesterday, I love planting and nursing crops although the sun disturbed the growth and there's no irrigation facilities I usually fetch water in neighboring house to water my crops. There are two segments of my farm which I'm going to talk about it extensively

The first segment is Afang in my dialects but popularly known as Gnetum africanum /Okazi scientifically, it's a popular Crop that survive under intense heat,it sprout and grow very fast during dry season,it is usually planted during raining season like other crops for it to germinate and grow, but the growth can be limited during raining season but it can thrives successfully during dry season no matter the intensity of sunlight it can adapt. After the Crop has sprouted the next thing is stalk using strong sticks and ropes for it to climb, they are climbers crops.
The Crop maturity depends on the seasons in which it was first harvested, but early maturity takes place between April -July while late maturing happens between September - November.
Usage; it is use for cooking our African dish at home and in an occasion, moreso,it can be sliced,dry and preserves in a dry form for export to other countries , fresh one are easily perishable and cannot be stored for a longer period except refrigerate it.
So I assist my father every morning to manage and care for his farm on daily basis since his is little bit advanced in age and cannot do the whole job by himself and beside I love farming whether is crop farming or animal production I can handle it perfectly.

The second segment of the farm is vegetable farm which is usually called Cucurbita maxima ( pumpkin leave) it well known in my dialects as `nkong, it's planted by seed and allow to germinate within a space of one - two weeks and after that allow to grow. It can be planted in season and out of seasons as long as there's water available to aid in irrigation. As you can the place is very dry because there was no water for me to irrigate the plants. Usage; it can be used to cook different kinds of food such as vegetables soup, can be use to add in porridge plantain, yam etc.

In the afternoon after finishing the activities in the farm, I freshen up and tried to relax but could not because there was so much noise and I went to check what is happening and it was demolition of affected houses in the newly constructed ring road,the houses was pulled down.

I actually stood to sympathize with the affected individuals and as I was still standing a dangerous snake came out from the nearby bush that got me scary and they stone it to death

After the snake was killed I was not comfortable again standing there I went home to relax and rest and It was evening already so I check some of my messages online and start making my post on steemit, that was how my day went.
